LTR has locations in almost every major oil and gas producing area in the country, so it might seem strange that the majority of repairs are done at their Central Repair Facility in Cleburne, Texas, just outside of the Dallas-Forth Worth metro area.

But when asked why a Central Repair Facility (CRF) is important, manager Shawn Diamond had more reasons that we could count. But three reasons stood out: Faster Turnaround, Specialized Capabilities and Quality Control. To find out how the CRF in Cleburne is a big part of LTR's model of efficiency, read more on their website.

How many of you commute to work? Stuck in traffic, or bored on the open road (depending where you live), do you text and drive? Have you driven home after a few drinks with the guys after a long day's work? We all know that to drive while intoxicated, distracted, or even when you know your vehicle isn't in the best working order can cause problems... even death.

One of the events near and dear to LTR is Energy Giving Back. The Houston event that raises money for cystic fibrosis featured keynote speaker Austin Faught, whose young son Jack suffers from CF. Read more here about how LTR's President and COO, Pat Bond, responded to little Jack's story.

Do you think the US needs energy independence? This amazing estimate of oil reserves in the Wolfcamp shale in the Permian Basin definitely keeps the idea on the table.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) estimates that the Wolfcamp contains 20 million barrels of oil, making this the largest estimated continuous oil accumulation the USGS has assessed in the United States to date. It's almost three times the size of the Bakken-Three Forks assessment done in 2013.

That's a lot of oil!
