Introduction

E.W. Storch is a writer of fiction with a fantastical bent, taking inspiration from such great authors as Neil Gaiman, Theodore Sturgeon, Kurt Vonnegut, J.R.R. Tolkien, Samuel R. Delany, Jack Vance, William Gibson and Robert A. Heinlein - just to name a few (and his personal favorites).

Mr. Storch relishes in creating believable characters and putting them in terrible situations just to see what will happen. Sometimes, everything turns out okay for his hapless victims.

In 2013, Mr. Storch released a collection of short fiction, Impenetrable Falsehoods, through the offices of ALL CAPS PUBLISHING. The collection has received favorable reviews, the writing described as having a, "...lyrical style and compelling imagination." Others have said of the collection that it is, "Deeply personal, and touchingly lovely, even when the surface is dingy..." and "The writing is superb, each character so real and alive that the “windows” we’re given to each life stayed with me, lingering long after I turned the page."

Mr. Storch professes to be a good liar and claims that skill makes him a good storyteller. He says the two go hand in hand. Currently, he lives within the forests of New England with his wife and three children.

Well, Thanksgiving is over and the Black Friday Massacre has passed, now it's what? Small Business Saturday? Okay. Here's my Small Business over on Wattpad. If you're not part of the "Inner Circle" of Hannah Anne beta readers, head on over there. You can read the full first two chapters and (as of this post) the first scene of chapter three. Do you like Urban Fantasy? Witchcraft? Romance? Comedy? 'A Tear in the Veil' has it all!

The opening scene of Hannah's novel, 'A Tear in the Veil,' is up on the blog for public consumption.
Thunk, thunk, thunk. Hannah Ennis ground the pestle into the mixture of herbs in the mortar, a pungent odor filling her kitchen. Her unbound, unkempt, mouse-brown hair obscured her face, coming dan...
