Introduction
 
The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) is a not-profit scientific NGO created in 1975 which federates seismological observations at the Euro-Med scale.
 
Thanks to its 84 institutes as members from 55 different countries, it offers rapid earthquake information to the public and international organisations through its well identified web site and its earthquake notification system.

Le Centre Sismologique Euro-Méditerranéen (CSEM) est une ONG scientifique a but non lucratif crée en 1975 pour localiser le plus rapidement possible les séismes dans la région méditerranéenne. Le CSEM compte 84 membres (instituts sismologiques) dans 55 pays.

L'objectif principal de ce centre est de fusionner en temps réel les données produites par plus de 60 instituts à travers le monde, et de transmettre une donnée fiable et homogène des tremblements de terre ressenti dans la zone euro-med grâce à son site internet reconnu et son système de notifications.
