I was reffered here by Amber Clay and another customer Dawn, when i saw their braids looking nice. Also *Zaverine Djoukui is the hair stylist who has been doing most of my "fronts" if i would say. Bcz somebody else who did looser braids does the back. Last time i checked people don't review their own work, the customers do. It's sad that i hv to post my HONEST opinion about them when they are friends of my Mom, and i keep coming back. Customer service is horrible, and they always spoke to me in a bad attitude until once i complained to my mom and she said something before they gave me a better approach. I keep swearing i will not go back here but about 10 days after they braid you and the fire on your head and all the bumps and sores have healed before you get your money's worth and some compliments bcz the edges that Z does are neat. The braids in the back always fall off, but lucky for me i knw how to put the back. I have no edges because they are done so tightly they pull off. I have tried to explain to them to leave baby hairs out i can always brush them and they don't. Partially bcz of language barrier but what i also believe is just sheer hard headedness. I work night shift so i have made a point of being the first customer in when they open, but still left at 8/9 PM. People came to have quick styles ( 30-40 mins) like big cornrows or overbraids for 50$, and they always leave me to the side to do them. Few times i have had someone else come to touch your hair and finish the braids as "courtesy". Made appointments and had them start waaayyy later too. So now i just show up and ballpark if it's a busy day or not. Spent at least 200 and i have my sides shaved off too, not a full head of hair. N when i did finally grow my hair back last time i spent 260 on box braids. Got a weave done and asked for a fuller style and she just did her own thing, had to ask my mom to call and reschedule to have it redone, thank God for free. But i am utterly disappointed in them. Today i am going to get a crotchet done, and if it doesn't work out i will hv to put loyalty to the side.

I have been to E&G three times in the past two years. I really love their work as far as the quality. But I was disappointed at my last visit. I arrived at 8:30 and no one touched my hair until well after 9:30 and I did not make it out until well past 8:00 pm. My head is not huge. I did not appreciate that they kept leaving and coming back. Taking long breaks and it was as if certain customers would come in, and they would leave my hair to attend to them as if they were priority. I was highly upset. I have sent many referrals to them in the past, and I am hoping they become more efficient with their time management.

Just got my hair done there today and I love it. It's pretty tight but that just mean it will last for a long time. I will be definitely going back there. 😊

I've been here twice my first experience was bad I had an appointment at 3 they didn't start my hair until 430 about half way through she stopped and I waited an hour before someone started on my hair again I didn't get out until after midnight. But I love my hair so I decided to even them another chance. I recently went an my appointment was at 8 am once again no started on me until 9. I was there until 5pm. About three days after getting my hair done I had three of my twists come down. I had to go back and get them fixed. A week after that I had a few more twists come down. I will not be going back here ever again. But here's a tip if you plan on going here DO NOT have any other plans you will be here all day long.

I've been to E&G Hair Braiding several times (unfortunately) for senegalese twists and after my very first visit, every other experience there has been HORRIBLE. It takes them 12 hours every time and they don't start working on my hair until 1 hour after my scheduled appointment (every time). They braided my hair way too tightly and I was in a lot of pain afterward. I developed bumps on my scalp as a result of the tightness. They had two women working on my hair and the quality of the twists were incredibly different. It seems like they have a less experienced person doing the back and someone more experienced do the front. Only two weeks after getting my hair done, the twists in the front and back of my head started slipping. Also, once they finish twisting your hair they will take scissors and trim each twist to remove the short hairs sticking out. I found that a lot of my twists (once they started to relax) started unraveling due to them being severely cut. On top of poor craftsmanship, their customer service is HORRIBLE. I had to return to the shop to have at least 15 of my twists redone from being cut. I also asked them to redo the twists that started slipping. The woman who was "fixing" my hair told me she wasn't going to redo them, she would just cut the frayed parts. I told her that I tried that on one of them that caused it to unravel even more so I would prefer that she just redo them completely to avoid me having to come back for the same problem. She then got upset and started telling me things like "I didn't mess up your hair", etc. After firmly standing up to her, her attitude quickly changed to sugary sweet and she continued working on my hair. After all of that, I got home and found the twists she repaired were shabbily done. The redone twists where super lumpy and shorter than my other twists. I did my best to fix them myself to avoid having to go back. I would stay far away from E&G Hair Braiding if you want to avoid a stressful experience.

Be prepared to wait an hour for them to get started on your hair. And you will have a headache after words and bumps around your edges. But after a week you'd be satisfied bc their braids are neat.

My hair wad braided super tight to where I tHoughton i was gping to go cray fromantic the pain. I didn't notice at first that she braided them going every which way. No matter how i tried to put my hair up, it always hurt because of the direction the braids where going. Plus it was so tight it felt like my scalp was on fire and I started getting bumps threw out my whole head . To bad we can't post pictures on here, so I could show proof.

She braided my hair super tight to where I couldn't even think straight. I didn't notice how tight they were cause I'm not tender headed but once i got home my scalp was on fire and started gettin bumps..Got them done yesterday took them out that night smh. They wanna take all your edges out if you ask me. Its one thing to braid tight but not to where I feel like crying. I wasted $240 on this bday hairstyle that I can't even enjoy. I was her blessing and she was my lesson.
