My husband and I like to spend 4-6 weeks in a country so we can get a more in-depth understanding of it. We do not like to go with a tour group so we have to do lots of research on what there is to see & do. We like to take advantage of our time (and money) so we tend to have very detailed itineraries. This usually means we need the help of a local person. I had spent months trying to find someone and was almost ready to give up. Then I found Sean. He worked (and worked) with me to come up with a great itinerary that included things we had found plus many of his own recommendations. He was very patient with all of our endless questions and demands. He took care of ALL of the details that included organizing small group tours, private tours, transfers, etc. We had a varied itinerary from cooking classes, eating at the oldest restaurant in Madrid (he organized the reservation), visiting an Iberian Ham farm, private tapas tour (where the locals go; not just a tourist event), boat ride, visits to castles, wine tasting, visit to Don Quixote windmills. . .the list goes on. All we had to do was enjoy the trip. It was not an easy task for Sean, but through patience, research and much work he helped us have an amazingly wonderful trip while seeing and doing everything we wanted. As I look through my thousands of photos, I cannot believe what a great and fun trip it was. Thank you, Sean!!

It was a great pleasure creating your trip and I am so glad you enjoyed it! Next trip to Spain you have to come up to Galicia and I will show all the hidden spots that locals only know! Take Care, Sean

I was looking for a really special wine & tapas experience for a quick stop in Vigo, Spain while on a cruise. Sean O'Rourke at EATour gave us so much more than I expected. A progressive 3-stop tapas luncheon with wine at each location in the old port area. The food was superb and the first place actually opened early for Sean. I work in a wine shop here in the States and so when Sean related his experience as a grower, we connected. Each wine paired beautifully with the foods. So, we started with a wonderful Rias Baixas Albarino and a rich, beautiful Mencia paired with a plate of cheeses and meats. Then on to the second stop and Galician Pie and empandas with Treixadura which was full of flavor. And to close, fisherman's stew at the third stop and a much richer Albarino. I'd love to have Sean deliver a wine class with me at our shop on one of this trips to the States. He is very professional, well informed and good natured. I felt like my brother was giving us a tour. Best thing on the entire cruise.

It was a pleasure showing you the food and wines of Galicia on your stop in Vigo! I hope in the near future when I make a visit to the US that we can enjoy good food and wine together again! Cheers! Sean

We (my husband and a friend) started looking around for a company to pull together a tour of Spain almost a year ago since we didn't want a bus tour of Spain. We found EA Tour Specialist on the web and were at 1st apprehensive because there not many reviews of the company. However, after some back and forth with emails we decided to proceed and Sean put together for us a very comprehensive tour from Madrid to Gibraltar to Barcelona over 15 days. The hotels chosen were all 1st class (except for one in Granada) with easy access to all the landmarks, great free WIFI, great buffet breakfasts and friendly clerks and clean spacious rooms. The tour guides and tours and drivers/guides that Sean chose for us were 1st class. All the guides spoke excellent English in all cities, were all licensed and knew their subjects and cities very well and were on time....in fact they found us, we did not have to hunt for them. The drivers were all English speaking and very professional and prompt. The tours we booked all went off without a hitch....on time going and coming and delivered the product. Sean also made reservations for us for some of the lunches as well. Some we used and some we didn't because we picked a place closer to where we happened to be at the moment. I would not hesitate to use Sean and EA Tour Specialist again or recommend them to anyone. It was money well spent.

We spent several weeks in northern Spain following an itinerary that EA Tours put together. It was perfect! Each day included visits to wineries, caves in which cheeses are aged, and much more. The hotels were marvelous and our driver, Victor, marvelous. He accommodated our every whim with consummate patience. We are unfortunately back in the US and back into the grind, but we wish we were still in Asturias. My wife and I really enjoyed living in a world of Castellano and Catalan. We have taken many bicycle and other tours but none has gotten us as close to the cultural reality of a new place like this tour. The only clear solution is to do it again. Our recommendation is enthusiastic--five stars!

I had booked a tour for myself and my wife to visit Jerez and Cadiz, I was told that there would be 20 maximum on the coach but when we were picked up there were only the two of us. We were impressed because some companies would have cancelled. The coach was a small executive style vehicle with leather seats, air con. and was extremely comfortable. The courier, Melissa, was wonderful: friendly and approachable but also professional, efficient and spoke perfect English. The driver, Ramon, was excellent, no speeding or 'lumpy' driving. All in all, we had a great day out visiting the Gonzalaz Byass winery and The Andalucian Horses in Jerez and then two hours free to explore Cadiz. We would recommend EATours and will use them again when next in Spain.

Winery tour of Rias Baixas. I can't say enough about how perfect this tour was. We were able to completely customize our itinerary to match my specific goals via email in advance and any question that came up were promptly and clearly answered before I finally commuted. Sean was our guide. I must tell you from the perspective of an English speaking very experienced wine geek, Sean was the perfect person. Relax conversations in English and his complete understanding of the local culture, wineries and roads made for a very fulfilling day for me. I could tell he was able to really get the best out of the local winemakers via advance appointments and special access. It's been a week since my tour and I can't stop thinking about the profound experience EATours gave me and my wife. The natural beauty, the delicious wines and region flavored but especially the people Sean introduced to us were amazing. Bravo Sesn and EATours!

My wife and I, with another couple, spent over 4 weeks in Spain. We provided Sean at EA Tours with a tentative itinerary, to which he added some helpful suggestions, and then arranged for us all our accommodation, tour guides in many different cities, restaurant suggestions and bookings and a series of drivers to take us from place to place, and even helped us with a week's stay in Portugal in a villa in the north. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish - the accommodation was varied and comfortable, including hotels, paradores, self-catering apartments and a rustic farmhouse. The restaurants were always good and in some cases quite outstanding, the guides first rate and the drivers reliable and great fun to be with on extended drives. If you are considering an extended tour of Spain, I would highly recommend EA Tours - a trip such as ours will give you far more flexibility than a group tour, and will also be at a comparative financial advantage.

During our recent recent trip to North-West Spain, our research online uncovered the EATour Specialist. With .them, we were able to plan a one day itinerary which covered several specific interests we wished to visit - from prehistoric ruins to Albarino wineries. The day they organized far exceeded our expectations and we would not hesitate to recommend their company to all other travellers to Spain.
What a beautiful vineyard, Galician Pazo (manor house) and winery! We started our visit with a stroll thru the vineyards where Alicia explained all about Pazo Baion. Then we headed to the winery which is in the old stables converted into a fully-equipped winery. At the end of the visit we tasted the 100% Albariño. I would highly recommended visiting this winery if in the D.O. Rias Baixas, Galicia, Spain
