The street outside my office is overrun with elves, dwarves and hobbits, presumably here to watch the celebrities arriving at the Battle of Five Armies premiere.

I am wondering if there is any way I could possibly pull enough showbusiness strings to get Patrick Stewart to lean over our balcony in his Star Trek uniform and shout "USE THE FORCE, HARRY!" at them.

+Simon Peel and anyone else who's playing Elite: Dangerous... what's your commander name? Multiplayer any good? And how the hell do I get out of hyperspace without using Windows Task Manager? Mmm. Beta...

Somewhere at Barclays, not too long ago...

"Er... Keith... Wouldn't it be better if the buttons actually lined up with the onscreen options?"

"What?"

"Well... The new cash machines... The buttons don't line up. The button next to where it says £50 is actually the £20 button"

"Oh. Oh yeah. Shit. Well, too late to change it now. Let's stick some naff silver sort of... line... things on it and pretend we did it on purpose."

Spanners.

I have a question about circles that my Google-Fu cannot answer... is there any way to see people in a circle who are not in any other circles?

See, I have too many circles, because once upon a time I set up circles like "University Friends", "London People", "Geeks" - and basically, they all overlap the hell out of each other. So I want to simplify them, but don't want to lose anybody who's only in one circle. A sort of "show me people who are ONLY in this circle" feature.

Any circle-experts get what I'm blathering on about? Or is it time for some dirty dirty API hacking?

Well, since it looks like we're all moving in, thought we could do with some ginger cat videos around the place.

Hello ServiceStackers,

I'm going to be doing a presentation/workshop on ServiceStack at the Progressive.NET Tutorials in London in May. (https://skillsmatter.com/conferences/1820-progressive-dot-net-tutorials-2014#program) It's an in-depth hands-on event aimed at .NET developers, with a strong emphasis on open-source frameworks and promoting alternatives to the standard Microsoft stack.

The aim of my workshop is to provide attendees with a hands-on introduction to running and using ServiceStack, and send them home with a decent understanding of the basics - and with working code on their own laptops that they can refer back to.

I'd love to know if there's anything that any of you found confusing or misleading during your early days with ServiceStack - anything that you wish somebody had explained right at the beginning. This applies particularly if you came to ServiceStack from a WCF background, as I suspect a lot of the audience will be, but if there's anything you think should be covered, let me know and I'll try and include it.

Thanks,

Dylan

Has anyone had any luck integrating ServiceStack with DotNetOpenAuth? I'm trying to build a ServiceStack API that uses OAuth2 (with our own auth server and the resource owner password flow) and encountering all sorts of frustration. I'm sure this must have been done before but can't find any working implementations to study. There's working OAuth2 demos in the DNOA project, but they're all based on WebAPI or WCF and I'm really keen to use ServiceStack. My current open issues are http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18311483 and http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18257753 but I'd love to hear from anyone who's done something similar. Thanks!

Hello camera nerds. I'm off diving to Tanzania next month. I want to take pictures at the bottom of the sea. Is there any cost-effective way of doing this? I don't need mega-mega-pixels or anything... we're talking underwater holiday snaps here. Any tips?
