Do I dare hope? Please don't tease me, Bethesda, and don't leave me at the altar like Valve!
Bethesda Softworks delivers some compelling evidence that a 'Fallout 4' reveal is happening at 10 a.m. ET on June 3.

The Gotham finale was insane, and not in a good way. They're not even trying to make sense now. Even Penguin did a "king of the world", complete with a ledge. If the show returns, it should fully embrace being a ridiculous farce and stop trying to be a somber, serious drama. That part never worked. Give me "Pow!" and "Bam!" any day over dreary skies and serious policemen.
Sorry, guys, but there’s really no other way to convey the complete WTFery of Gotham’s terrible but entertainingly insane season one finale than to list the many, many questions it left me with. Seriously, if anybody knows what the hell was up with the chicken, please let me know.

#ThankfulThursday: I'm grateful I have the freedom to not post a Thankful Thursday, if I don't feel like it, as I didn't do last week. Habits are powerful tools, but it's important to evaluate them to ensure they're serving us, instead of us serving them. Don't let good practices become shackles.

Joss on movie executives: “Let’s put it this way: If a raccoon can carry a movie, then they believe maybe even a woman can.”
Last summer, Joss Whedon gave an interview to Digital Spy in which he reiterated some of the same comments he’s been making for years: sexism and misogyny are rampant in Hollywood, and old white guys with money don’t think women can headline superhero films. Of course, in the months since then, Marv

#ThankfulThursday: I'm grateful that weather and atmosphere make each day look a bit different, sometimes dramatically different. The same terrain can take on an entirely different look and feel with fog, rain, snow, or bright sun, creating endless variety for the same places.

I don't usually post anything political, but this blog summarizes my economic political beliefs better than anything I could write. It makes a great argument for why progressive policies can encourage entrepreneurship better than conservative policies. If you're curious what makes me tick politically, read this. The author is British, so substitute "Republican" for "Tory" and "Democrat" for "Labour", if you're in the U.S.

The new Star Wars trailer is exciting! I especially love the crashed star destroyer. What an image! I'm looking forward to the new films now.

I watched an HDR TV for the first time today. It was breathtaking. The contrast was stunning. Super bright areas mingled with dark areas in the same shot, and the clarity of both was not compromised. And the images looked very sharp, even though the TV was only 1080p.

Yes, I was amazed at how sharp the image looked! I thought I was watching 4K, until I learned at the end that the TV was just 1K. Sharp contrast really brings out the details.

#ThankfulThursday: I'm grateful that challenges produce growth. Just as physical exercise causes our strength to increase, pushing ourselves to perform beyond the level we're used to increases our capabilities.

Introduction
I'm a man with two brains. One brain is an engineer. The other brain is an artist. That's probably why I've been drawn to video games since I was 11. My career so far as been ruled by my engineer brain, and I've had a fairly successful career as a software engineer.

But my artist brain has been asserting dominance for the past few years, and I now want to making a living doing something that expresses my creativity. I want to make games for a living. Specifically, I want to make games that tell stories that have as much impact as a movie and as much depth as a novel.
