I think they call that a "throwdown" in police parlance.
I will leave it as an exercise to the reader to infer the frequency with which incidents like this occur considering that there is a specific, technical term for it within the community which practices it.
Perhaps the only issue here is that the event occurred in South Carolina, which means it will be written off as a problem that happens in the lesser developed parts of the country.
