Portal Title: The Lady in the Car
Location: Burlingame, California, USA
Lat/Long: http://www.ingress.com/intel?ll=37.579529,-122.342618&z=17&pll=37.579529,-122.342618
Appeal Type: Invalid Portal (Does Not Exist/Is Not permanent)

Reasoning:

I have lived in this area for two and a half years. I take the nearby Caltrain to and from work almost every day (so twice a day). My route takes me right by this portal every time I go to work in the morning and come home in the evening. I have spoken to other agents as well and not one of us have ever seen this car, with this lady (a manikin) sitting out as displayed.

I decided to dig in a little further and reached out to the business owner after my last portal report was rejected saying it had been verified.

The car is one that he owns, and the manikin is also his. He has displayed it in the past, but not regularly. The car, as well as the manikin inside of it, goes to other garages often. In fact, right now the business owner said both the car and manikin are at another garage and won't be back "For a few more weeks at least".

I would say then that this portal does not meet the following criteria as per the Candidate Portal Criteria page (https://support.google.com/ingress/answer/3066197? ) which states as an example of portal types that usually get rejected "Temporary or seasonal art installations".

At best, this portal is temporary, and although an interesting concept, until Ingress can support mobile portals (that would be kinda awesome in a case like this), I believe this portal should be removed.

I've taken a couple of photos of the Service Station where this portal is located at as close to the angle of the current portal photo as is possible to show that the Lady in the Car is not there (i.e. not Permanent).

Pay very close attention to the statement. "Aaron's death is not simply a personal tragedy. It is the product of a criminal justice system rife with intimidation and prosecutorial overreach..." This young man terrified the federal government. The loss of this intelligent human being is a loss to all humanity. His death is a tragedy. And a nail in the coffin of a free internet system through out the world…

YOUR STATEMENT REPLY

You do know that it was a state DA that pursued him, not the federal government... right? Also, Guilty is guilty.

News for AARON SWARTZ FEDERAL CASE

TIME
MIT hacking case lawyer says Aaron Swartz was offered plea deal of six months behind bars
Boston.com ‎- 2 hours ago

In the months before his death, federal prosecutors told Aaron Swartz and ... plead guilty to 13 federal crimes in order to resolve the criminal case...

WHAT PART OF THE VERBIAGE FEDERAL CASE, DID YOU NOT UNDERSTAND. THAT IS WHERE, YOU, DID NOT HAVE YOUR INFORMATION CORRECT IN REGARDS TO MY POST. I do hope that this clears up any confusion that you, may have about, if it is a federal case or not.  If you believe that any prosecutor is in capable of making mistakes or being erroneous; please note that experts can be fallible.  Now I hope in your lifetime that you are put in similar circumstances under our judicial standards and judged accordingly.
perhaps than you will question authority.

ICELAND. No news from Iceland?… why? How come we hear everything that happens in Egypt but no news about what’s happening in Iceland:

In Iceland, the people has made the government resign, the primary banks have been nationalized, it was decided to not pay the debt that these created with Great Britain and Holland due to their bad financial politics and a public assembly has been created to rewrite the constitution.

And all of this in a peaceful way. A whole revolution against the powers that have created the current global crisis. This is why there hasn’t been any publicity during the last two years: What would happen if the rest of the EU citizens took this as an example? What would happen if the US citizens took this as an example.

This is a summary of the facts:

2008. The main bank of the country is nationalized.
The Krona, the currency of Iceland devaluates and the stock market stops. The country is in bankruptcy

2008. The citizens protest in front of parliament and manage to get new elections that make the resignation of the prime minister and his whole government.
The country is in bad economic situation.
A law proposes paying back the debt to Great Britain and Holland through the payment of 3,500 million euros, which will be paid by the people of Iceland monthly during the next 15 years, with a 5.5% interest.

2010. The people go out in the streets and demand a referendum. In January 2010 the president denies the approval and announces a popular meeting.
In March the referendum and the denial of payment is voted in by 93%. Meanwhile the government has initiated an investigation to bring to justice those responsible for the crisis, and many high level executives and bankers are arrested. The Interpol dictates an order that make all the implicated parties leave the country.

In this crisis an assembly is elected to rewrite a new Constitution which can include the lessons learned from this, and which will substitute the current one (a copy of the Danish Constitution).
25 citizens are chosen, with no political affiliation, out of the 522 candidates. For candidacy all that was needed was to be an adult and have the support of 30 people. The constitutional assembly starts in February of 2011 to present the ‘carta magna’ from the recommendations given by the different assemblies happening throughout the country. It must be approved by the current Parliament and by the one constituted through the next legislative elections.

So in summary of the Icelandic revolution:
-resignation of the whole government
-nationalization of the bank.
-referendum so that the people can decide over the economic decisions.
-incarcerating the responsible parties
-rewriting of the constitution by its people

Have we been informed of this through the media?
Has any political program in radio or TV commented on this?
No! The Icelandic people have been able to show that there is a way to beat the system and has given a democracy lesson to the world.

Please spread the news as Iceland is the role model now although sooner or later, the banksters will start demilishing their nationalized bank.
