I had an amazing experience using Dumbo Moving and I would definitely recommend them. My team and I switched offices within Dumbo, and we found the staff to be extremely accommodating. They arrived earlier than planned, which was extremely helpful since they did a lot of the prep work for our move as well (finishing taping up boxes, etc). My colleagues and I had a lot more boxes then anticipated, and we were not charged extra. They were extremely friendly throughout the morning and were quick and efficient. 5 stars easily!

The movers and the employee that answers the phone for this company are horrible and very inconsiderate of other peoples vehicles. Today my car was parked at a storage facility that these movers were delivering to and they blocked my car in for several hours. They parked sideways so close to my car that is was nerve wrecking and just continued to unload this customer's belongings even after I made them aware of the situation. I called the phone number on the side of the truck to only have a very rude guy answer and reply it's ok our drivers are very professional...I beg to differ they need to LEARN HOW TO PARK!!!

I had DUMBO move a 4-piece bedroom set, a toy box and 4 plastic bins from one home to another 13 miles away. They picked up from 9:00am - 11:30am (which was longer than I expected) the pieces and then at 8:40pm arrived at the new place. I waited all day......the only good thing was they brought the furniture in and only took them 35 minutes. Hmmmmm....

Amazing! Moved from a two story one bedroom to a four story one bedroom in Dallas. Easiest move ever! The workers were extremely nice and helpful! They were on time and did their best not to go overtime so it didn't charge me! I will definitely use them again!

Do not use Dumbo Moving. We had several issues with our move but for the sake of focusing on the main issue of damages to our property, let me get right down to the two incidents that I want you to know before considering hiring them. 1. During our move a large hole was punched through a wall at the top of our stairs. I immediately pointed it out the the movers and they shrugged it off and said to contact the claims department. 2. A large radiator was removed from our bedroom, at our request. The head mover said that his crew could handle it. I pointed out that the radiator could not touch the wood floors, and that we had it set on cardboard to avoid scratching the surface of our refinished floors. When I was out of the room, the crew took the radiator off of the cardboard and pushed it on the floor. This immediately causes a large scratch. I hear from the downstairs a loud “CHUNK” lift “CHUNK” lift and ran to the stairs. They had moved the radiator, but continually set it down heavily on our stairs without any protection causing little half moon 1/8” chunks all the way from our bedroom out to the curb. I pointed this out to the crew, visibly upset, and they told me to contact the claims department. The claims department is one man. Anthony. We reached out to him where he immediately accused us of not filing the claim fast enough. I pointed out that I brought these issues up during the move and the next day when contacted. He would send out a repair man for the damages claim concerning the wood flooring and walls. When the repair man arrived, he looked our floors and was shocked to see what the crew had done. He kept saying it was “very bad work” and apologized. He said he could only repair one small scratch, but would show photographs to the claims manager and we would get a phone call the next day to resolve the chunks in our floors. He also said he would return to repaint the wall that was damaged, and the remaining scratches. The repair man never showed up again. We were not contacted by Anthony, the claims manager. I reached out to Anthony via email and had no response for three days. When I finally do get ahold of Anthony, he immediately informs me that according to his repair man all of the repairs were completed and has photographic proof, which he is of course showing him later that day. I start to tell my side of the story, where he then tells me how rude I have been for cutting him off. I am upset at this point, because I am sitting in my home looking at the un-repaired floors. I say to him, you need to hear my side of the story because there damages here they have not been addressed. “No no,” Anthony tells me, “you need to hear what I was going to say because it will void your statement.” Anthony, and many other people at the company will tell you how Dumbo Moving is a “Multi-million dollar” company. They will also tell you how it is too difficult for this “multi-million dollar company” to keep their customers informed. I am told by Anthony how Dumbo Moving does over 300,000 moves a year, and has had only 30 claims in the last year. I ask, if there are so few claims why is it not a priority when a claim does come up? Why are we being treated as if we are not telling the truth? My phone call with Anthony is getting heated, and he hangs up on me. I immediately take a video of the the one repaired area and record the remaining damages to our floor. I email it over to Anthony. He thanks me for my video, and says this will help him get to the bottom if the issue. He also tells me that my email is now “marked as priority” so it will come up immediately if I respond. NOW I am a priority. Before I became a priority I was the customer who was not fast enough to point out issues, everything is my fault and I am the rude one. We will see if our home is repaired, and I will happily update this review if or when it is. In the meantime, avoid this multi-million dollar company because they apparently don’t need or care about your move.

I recently moved into Manhatten (Washington heights) all the way from suffolk county long island. I was assisted by Ivan and his team. Ivan was very professional and he even reassured me with my doubts with the negative reviews I had read. Dumbo gave me the most reasonable and fair pricing. They were extremely reliable and punctual. They exceeded my expectations. I am glad I trusted Ivan. I have worked in a highly demanded customer service environment. These guys are professionals and know what they're doing. But in reality, we all need the help of each other. If you do your part in giving them as clear of directions as possible, nothing will change. I even added a few extra items and they didn't charge a single penny extra. I tipped the guys well because they worked hard to get my furniture on a 3rd floor walk up and not a single scratch. Thank you Ivan and your team, you did a fantastic job!!

The whole process was efficient and made me feel really at ease. From the quote I received, down to the inventory, double-checking the inventory and a reminder -- Dumbo Movers were on top of everything. The morning of my move I received a text letting me know the movers may be a few minutes early. The movers came and assessed everything, double checked the inventory and began moving. For furniture items, they provided blankets, tape and wrap. They were fast, efficient, and took care of my belongings. They arrived at the destination, asked where I wanted certain things, and were quick to unload them off the truck and into my apartment. They came recommended to me by a number of friends, and I would certainly recommend them to others.
