Dank Delivered to Your Doorstep? Colorado May Allow It: The snacks are ready, the Adventure Time is queued up and the Xbox controllers are charged when your pal Zeke gives you a call and lets you know he’s almost there – but you forgot to go to the dispensary to pick up the party favors and you don’t have time to drive. What's Causing the Increase in Marijuana DUI Arrests, Legal Pot or Police Education?: A recent report from the Colorado State Patrol showed a significant increase in the number of DUI-D arrests in 2016. Some would naturally assume that increased drugged driving rates are the result of marijuana legalization, but it this accurate? Or is there some other unexpected variable in play? Chief of Police Bob Ticer of Loveland Police Department believes that it is not increased marijuana usage resulting from legalization that is causing http://bit.ly/2lieR8y #DUIdefenseMatters

The videos have already begun airing on broadcast television and CDOT has http://bit.ly/2lGEmTN #DUIdefenseMatters

Sky High with Uber – The Future of Ridesharing?: Uber has fingers in a bunch of speculative technologies, including self-driving cars. But recently, they renewed their commitment to a technology that pulp sci-fi novels have been promising since forever, and tech companies have been promising for decades – flying cars. We know, we know – it seems like every year, someone claims we are only two or three years away from having flying cars. But could it be true this http://bit.ly/2lou0Ie #DUIdefenseMatters

Is There Really That Big of a Difference between .05 and .08 BAC?: In Colorado, driving with a BAC of .08 is illegal and can net you a DUI charge. Driving with a BAC of .05 can get you a lesser charge of DWAI (driving while ability impaired). But what the distinction? Is a BAC of .05 really that different from a .08? What’s the science behind these two numbers? The Science of Booze in the Blood Using the standard definition of one drink http://bit.ly/2lxoiAC #DUIdefenseMatters

Another Reason to Keep Your Marijuana in a Safe Place: In Colorado, you’re allowed to carry up to an ounce of marijuana at a time, and the police can’t hold that against you. However, if you do end up having your marijuana confiscated by police (because you’re carrying too much, or growing too many plants, or it’s with you in the front seat of your car, for example), don’t expect to get it back. The Colorado Supreme Court recently ruled that http://bit.ly/2loRUzY #DUIdefenseMatters

Case of 12th DUI Revives Calls for Strengthening DUI Penalties: Are Colorado laws on DUI STILL too lax, even though we’ve changed the laws to make a fourth DUI a felony? A Thornton, CO man was recently sentenced to six years in prison after being convicted of DUI for the ninth time in Colorado. He had three similar convictions in other states for a total of 12 DUI convictions. He was pulled over when police witnessed him making an erratic U-turn http://bit.ly/2lgoMuO #DUIdefenseMatters

Do you want to channel your inner Lionel Richie and party all night long? (All night) A new bill in the Colorado House would let towns, cities and counties decide when during the night bars have to close up shop, if they want to close up at all.
