Had a nice relaxing get away at Bagby Hot Springs.  The hike to the springs was just as relaxing as soaking in the hot spring water.  The rustic environment and surrounding nature was incredible.

I am not promoting the belief that learning Rails is hard, but I do think the graphic provided in this article is awesome!  It shows many of the components needed to become proficient in Rails and provides a road map of sorts to ensure I delve deeper in these areas to become as proficient as possible.  I hope you all find this as fascinating and useful as I do.
It’s in the name. Rails depends on Ruby. But anyone learning Rails would tell you it depends on a lot more.

Had a wonderful time at the +Lindsey Stirling concert last night!  So much talent, energy, and passion.  One of my most favorite artists, seeing her in concert was such a joy!

This is absolutely brilliant!

"Where is that cow GOING?" The pressing cliffhangers of slow TV:
You've heard about slow food. Now here's slow ... TV? In this very funny talk, Norwegian television producer Thomas Hellum shares how he and his team began to broadcast long, boring events, often live — and found a rapt audience. Shows include a 7-hour train journey, an 18-hour fishing expedition and a 5.5-day ferry voyage along the coast of Norway. The results are both beautiful and fascinating. Really.

"I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine." -- John Galt
Introduction
Frequently described as a proactive, motivated and innovative leader with a strong background in business, communications, research and analytics, I am regarded as a strong, passionate, effective leader across functions and regions. I leverage inclusive and collaborative partnerships to deliver sustained business and organizational growth. I consistently challenge myself and the status quo to push boundaries and raise the bar. My strengths are in change management, operating with discipline, leveraging technologies, and accountability behind agreed-to measures.

I have a demonstrated knowledge in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Python, Flask, Django, Sinatra, , JavaScript, HTML, CSS, API's/Frameworks and SQL Database Management.  I also have a proven track record in project management and process improvement initiatives with a focus on LEAN concepts.

"It is not the nature of man – nor of any living entity – to start out by giving up, by spitting in one’s own face and damning existence; that requires a process of corruption whose rapidity differs from man to man.  Some give up at the first touch of pressure; some sell out; some run down by imperceptible degrees and lose their fire, never knowing when or how they lost it.  Then all of these vanish in the vast swamp of their elders who tell them persistently that maturity consists of abandoning one’s values; practicality, of losing self-esteem.  Yet a few hold on and move on, knowing that that fire is not to be betrayed, learning how to give it shape, purpose and reality.  But whatever their future, at the dawn of their lives, men seek a noble vision of man’s vision of man’s nature and of life’s potential." -- Ayn Rand

Great atmosphere, friendly bartenders and enjoyable clientele. The drink prices are reasonable.

I have found my new favorite Mexican restaurant. The prices are very reasonable and a huge selection of food. Food is served quickly and the portions are huge. This is the best Mexican restaurant in Beaverton. The service has been prompt each time I have eaten here. I have eaten here about five times now.

I was extremely pleased with the food here. The staff was prompt, courteous and attentive to the needs of everyone in my party. The drinks are poured strong and worth the price. I do plan on returning.

I truly enjoyed my dinning experience here. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is attentive to their customers needs. Their hamburgers are worth stopping in for.

Amazing staff and facility. They are not my normal veterinary clinic as I live to far away. My Great Danes had a litter of 12 puppies and I was in a rush to remove the dewclaws before they had turned five days old. This clinic was accommodating and accepted us on the same day I had called despite them being extremely busy that day. The staff was very friendly. I only wish I lived closed so that my pets can go there for future needs.

I have eaten here a number of times. The food is on par for Taco Bell as a chain and nothing to complain or rave about. The service here is consistently slow, where you wait for up to 15 minutes on a regular basis. Overall: Fast food that is not fast food!

I am not a fan of Banfield as a company. I have been to many of their locations and have not been entirely satisfied. But the veterinarian here and the staff at this location are the best in Portland! Dr. D and the staff are knowledgeable, courteous, passionate about what they do and they truly care about your pets and you. They take the time to get the job done right. Again, I am not a fan of Banfield...in fact I dislike the company, their pricing and their health plans (which are a waste and difficult to terminate). The staff here is the only reason I am still Banfield's customer and I will recommend this location to anyone! If Dr. D ever leaves Banfield....they will lose a customer as well.
