True Forgiveness

Proverbs 10:12 "Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins."

The home is a special place and the marriage relationship should be the most sacred earthly relationship that we have. If the home is to be what God intends it to be and it is to flourish then there must be love and forgiveness. The home should be an oasis in this world as we find pure water that will refresh our soul, bring joy to our heart and fulfillment to our life.

Hatred in the heart will cause division in our relationships and will cause people to spew out venom with a sharp tongue. When a person's tongue becomes a weapon it because they are filled with hatred or bitterness that they have not biblically dealt with. This will cause that person to develop a hard heart. The only way to stop the strife in our homes is for people to deal with any hatred or bitterness that they have in their heart. Once this is done then there can be the peace and harmony in the home that God desires.

Love seeks to help others and not expose someone's failure. They realize what happened before, but they want to see the person restored and get the victory. They will not compromise sin or sweep it under the rug, but they will deal with it in a loving way. The spirit of love must be cultivated and the monster of hate must be destroyed.
Love never condones sin but it covers it. When forgiveness is offered it takes the sin and buries it. It does not mean that the person forgets the sin was done, but relinquishes their right to bring it up anymore. The relationship is based on God's love and past offences are not factored in. When a person receives Jesus as their savior all their sins are forgiven. Jesus takes those sins and buries them and he does not bring them up again. Our relationship to him is based on his forgiveness and not our past.

God will never forget the sins we have committed because he knows everything. However he sees believers through the blood of Christ and has clothed us in his righteousness. Our eternal relationship with him is based on his love and forgiveness. When we see others in our family through the eyes of Jesus it will revolutionize our homes, strengthen our relationships, and glorify God.

Too many people get historical when they get mad. They start bringing up all the past things about someone they do not like or are angry with and throw them in their face. This is not love and shows no real forgiveness has taken place in that persons heart toward that person. Take that list of offenses and bury it in the backyard and never dig it up again. Until we practice this principle of love and forgiveness we will never see revival in our homes. If our homes do not get revived then our local churches will continue to struggle and America will continue to decline.

Men let's do like Joshua did of old when he said " but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." You can have a great home by loving and forgiving those that God has given you to love. They do not need to be replaced we just need to be revived and practice biblical Christianity in our homes once again.

The Fierce Fighter

Proverbs 13:10 “Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.”

The Battle of Gettysburg was the deadliest battle of the civil war based on number of casualties. Spanning over three days, from July 1-3, 1863, the Battle resulted in approximately 51,112 individuals being killed, wounded, missing, or captured. Unfortunately the battles that rage because of pride have done far more damage in homes and local churches than in the battle of Gettysburg ever did.  The sad part is that the battles in Christian homes and local churches still continue today because of pride.

The grizzly bear is considered to be one of the most aggressive animals and when it is a mother grizzly bear defending her cubs it may take the title hands down.  It is said that 70% of the attacks on people are from a mother grizzly protecting her cubs.  The grizzly bear has immense jaws and a crushing bite force that make it especially dangerous as scientists estimate that a grizzly bear bite would be capable of crushing a bowling ball.

When it comes to pride it is more fierce and devastating than a grizzly bear or any other deadly animal.  The monster of pride will sting its prey with its tongue and rip it apart with its claws as it seeks to dominate another person.  Pride insists on having its own way and is fueled by feeding the flesh.  All who do not bow to their desires become enemies with whom they will fight to the death to have their own way.  All conflict (100%) is caused by the deadly monster of pride.  Pride gives life to our old nature, starves the inner man and then goes on an unholy crusade to destroy anyone who stands in their way.

Because of the monster of pride there are many homes that have been torn apart.  Marriages destroyed by sin which have led to divorce and great heartache. Many children have been deeply hurt by a parent and carry those scars in adulthood.  Churches have suffered splits, lost their testimony in the community and have greatly hurt the work of God.  Some have become so disillusioned that they are do nothing for God now and do not even attend church.  Dreams have been shattered, hearts have been broken and the only one who rejoices is the devil who is the father of pride.

We must humble ourselves before God and submit to the authority of the scripture.  If we allow pride to sit on the throne of our heart we are living in rebellion against God and need to repent immediately.  When David fought Goliath he battled for God as he sought to glorify God and not himself.  Yet when David as king had Uriah killed he did for himself and to cover his sin.  When you are engaged in battle today who are you fighting for?

Love seeks to help others and pride seeks to dominate others.  Will you follow the admonition of Jesus or the attitude of the devil?  Your local church needs your support not your subversion to split it apart.  Your family needs your love and support.  Build them up for the glory of God.  Take time today to pray for everyone in your family by name and give them a big hug and tell them that you love them.  Slay the monster of pride and live for the glory of God.

Friendly Fire and Autoimmune Disease

General Stonewall Jackson was accidentally shot by one of his own men who mistook him for the enemy.  It was at the Battle of Chancellorsville that this sad event happened. The immune system acts as a line of protection from invaders of disease and infection. This internal army must discern between friend and foe so it can know you from others. Autoimmunity occurs when your immune system gets confused and your own tissues get caught in friendly cross-fire. Unfortunately with an autoimmune disease, your immune system attacks healthy cells in your body by mistake.

The Difficulty: There are more than 80 types of autoimmune diseases, and some have similar symptoms. This makes it hard for your health care provider to know if you really have one of these diseases, and if so, which one. Getting a diagnosis can be frustrating and stressful. Often, the first symptoms are fatigue, muscle aches and a low fever. The classic sign of an autoimmune disease is inflammation, which can cause redness, heat, pain and swelling. Treatment depends on the disease, but in most cases one important goal is to reduce inflammation.

The Determination: There are some things you need to be check for to try to pinpoint the specific problem. It is dealing with the root causes that will ultimately help you achieve your health goals. You should be tested for hidden infections such as yeast, viruses, bacteria and Lyme disease. You should get an IgG food allergy test.  I would also get checked for celiac disease which is an immune reaction to eating gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley and rye.  If you have celiac disease, eating gluten triggers an immune response in your small intestine. Over time, this reaction produces inflammation that damages the small intestine's lining and prevents absorption of some nutrients (malabsorption).  Taking a good probiotic is important.
The Detoxification: One test that is absolutely essential is to be checked for toxic heavy metals.  I would suggest the urine analysis test with a provocative agent.  We do have one from Doctor’s Data on our website and a provocation kit from Zetpil for that purpose.  Mercury and other metals can cause autoimmunity.  Detoxification is essential to help get at the root of the problem.  This can be a key underlying factor to your auto immune issue as well as some of the food allergies.  As an example sometimes toxins can bind to cell proteins which changes their configuration and triggers an autoimmune response.

The Defense: You want to strengthen your immune system, deal with leaky gut issues, reduce inflammation, increase glutathione levels and detoxify.  Some supplements for your consideration would be glutamine, omega 3’s (4 grams), vitamin C (4 to 6 grams), vitamin D (2,000 to 5,000 IU’s), and probiotics.  I would also have a regular exercise program as it is a natural anti-inflammatory and develop a good diet.  Feel free to contact for more specific information concerning your situation.

The De-stressing: Learn to relax and manage your stress. Stress worsens the immune response so it is important to reduce it and not to be filled with worry, fear and anxiety.  You can go forward with your health. Be diligent and consistent staying focused on your health goals. Though it may take time you can get to where you want to be.  If we can be of any assistance feel free to contact us.

The Berean Principle for Health

Berea is an ancient city of Greece that was a part of the old Roman Empire. The Apostle Paul traveled to that city during one of his missionary journeys. In the scriptures the people of that city are mentioned in a very positive light. “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” They were complimented very highly because they not only accepted the teaching of the apostle, but they did their own personal research to check out what he said.

Understanding the Principle

Information: Our world today is filled with all kinds of information from books, the internet and various other sources. Learning is good and was highly commended by an ancient Hebrew king who was considered to be very wise. “A wise man will hear, and will increase learning;”

Investigation: Do your home and check things out for yourself. Sometimes what you hear or read will not hold up to the light of your research. Some things we hear will be excellent, but we won’t know until we check things out. We must objectively analyze things and take responsibility for what we do.

Implementation: The reason we should seek the truth and information about health is so we can use it in our own life. Knowing the right information is only the first step we take and then we should put it to practice in our personal life.

Inspiration: Your example and information you provide to other people can be a great help and encouragement. Your personal diligence will benefit yourself as well as others.

Applying the Principle

Research: Assume nothing and verify all things you hear or read about. You and your family’s health is important and we need to treat it that way.

Resolve: That you are going to use the information to promote good health and healthy habits in your life.

Reliability: That you will deal with companies that sell quality supplements and get your food form quality sources.

Remember: Other than God no one will have your best interests at heart more than you do.

My desire is to see you reach your health goals. If you will use these basic principles in your life it can help you physically and spiritually.

Horrible, Harmless or Helpful A look at GMO’s

In Shakespeare’s famous play Hamlet the title character gives the famous line “to be or not be that is the question” in Act III scene 1. Hamlet contemplates suicide and avenging his father’s death. I would like to look at GMO’s and whether we should promote them, control them, or outlaw them from humanity.

The explanation: Some people may say what in the world is a GMO? Is it a fancy car or an abbreviation for some sports league?  In simple terms a GMO stands for genetically modified organisms. They are plants or animals that man has genetically engineered with DNA from bacteria, viruses or other plants and animals. They are experimental and these combinations of genes from different species cannot occur in nature or in traditional crossbreeding.

The expectation: GMO advocates claim several benefits which have to do with greater tolerance of pests, herbicides, cold and drought. They speak of having more food for people in third world countries which sounds great and is a noble goal.  However lofty promises do not always materialize into reality. Expectation must be examined under the microscope of truth to properly analyze how good or bad something really is. As mom used to say the proof is in the pudding.

The environment: A great majority (80%) of GMOs grown worldwide are designed for herbicide tolerance. It has increased the use of toxic herbicides.  Unfortunately GMO crops have developed the appearance of “super weeds” and “super bugs:” which can only be killed with stronger toxic poisons like 2,4-D (a major ingredient in Agent Orange). These products are part of chemical agriculture are made and sold by big chemical companies. Their impact on our future is unknown and they cannot be taken back once released. So we must ask ourselves why we are allowing this.

The enslavement: Since GMOs are unique creations the biotechnology companies have gotten patents which restrict their use. Unfortunately they have the power to sue farmers whose fields are contaminated with GMOs, even when it is the result of inevitable drift from neighboring fields. This creates a great threat to the sovereignty of our farmers and to the national food security of our country.

The education: People need to do their homework to find non GMO foods but since labeling is not required in the United States that can be difficult. With increasing awareness and pressure on law makers hopefully that will soon change. There are over 25 countries which have a ban on GMO’s and about sixty more that have major restrictions on them.

The evaluation: When you look at increasing number of nations that ban or limit their use you wonder why more is not done in our own country. With the mounting evidence and concerns being raised the time has come for strict controls or a total ban on GMO’s in the United States. Despite biotech industry promises, none of the GMO traits currently on the market offer increased yield, drought tolerance, enhanced nutrition, or any other consumer benefit.

Ultimately you can make your own decision as a consumer. I would suggest you do what is best for you and your family with the whole long term picture in mind. To paraphrase Hamlet “to use GMO or not to use GMO that is question.” My answer is a resounding no way!

Tough Decisions in a Health Crisis!

It is very difficult to suffer physically or watch those you love going through great physical difficulty. It hurts as you watch them suffer and feel powerless to help.  The uncertainty of what to do can be very confusing and overwhelming at times.  My wife had 5 open heart surgeries, a heart transplant and both my parents had poor health the last few years before they passed away.  My heart goes out to you greatly and as one who has spoken at several funerals, given comfort to many, been involved in tough decisions I would offer a few suggestions for your consideration.

1.     Practical Suggestions

Advisory Team: The President has a cabinet of advisors.  He has experts in certain areas and they give their input on matters of their expertise, but ultimately the President makes the final decision.  So form your own cabinet of advisors.  Consider (1) a primary care doctor (2) a specialist in applicable area (3) a chiropractor (4) a natural alternatives advisor (5) a caring friend and (6) a pastor.  You want to find those who are competent and caring in each area. Ultimately the final decision is up to you.

Ask Questions: When you get information do not be afraid to ask questions.  What is the purpose?  How will that help?  Are there any side effects?  Has there been much research on this?  Do not be intimidated about asking questions you have a right to know.  A caring person will gladly take time to explain things.

Analyze Suggestions: You will find good people may have a different perspective on things.  You need sort through all the feedback and research to see which direction you want to go.  Sometimes it will be a combination of things from different sources.

Adapt a Plan: After you have analyzed everything come up with a plan on how you are going to go forward to achieve your health goals.
Acceptance: Ultimately life and death are in the hands of God.  I would suggest praying about this health issue and for wisdom on how to deal with this situation.  Having God’s peace is very important and will help reduce our stress in the difficult trials of life.  I Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon him for he careth for you.”

2.     Personal Supplements

Caution: Some medical problems may require you to take some prescription medication.  Natural supplements may be used in conjunction with some medications or may be able to substitute for them partially or completely.  It is important to work with a doctor.
Consider: Supplements that will help with the problem areas in your health.  Supplements provide nutrients that can help the body heal itself.  There are no “magic pills” that will make a problem go away.  If a deficiency of something helped cause the problem then addressing that issue is important to help restore your health.

Commitment: To follow the path you have chosen. Medicine or supplements cannot help if you do not follow the instructions of your health care practitioner.

I realize you are going through a difficult and stressful time.  It is important to never give up and keep going forward. Never be ashamed of your tears and never give up hope. If you would like a free health consultation call toll free (888-432-5824) today!
