As it turns out there are different ways to produce Agave. One is processed by extracting the sap the other is by processing the starch. The Agave WE are purchasing in our super caskets at majorly high prices and thinking we are redeeming ourselves at Whole Fools and Traitor Joes uses the latter process which also involves the use of chemicals and GMO enzymes. This is not healthy at all because the conversion process is likened to that of the conversion process of corn syrup and in fact the agave we have been consuming has more fructose than High Fructose Corn Syrup. This is hard on our Liver which has to convert it into triglycerides (3 glycerides) which gets stored as white adipose tissue (fat) and is NOT used for energy. Finally, and this is the most horrific to me, the beloved Raw Agave is is processed without heat!!! Instead of heat they use an enzyme derived from MOLD (Aspergillus Niger). Crazy!

Menu
The State of Delaware's only 100% vegetarian restaurant. We serve an unapologetically vegan (100% plant based menu) remix of modern American and soul food. We specialize in old fashioned, hand dipped vegan and vegetarian ice cream and candy creations.  It's just good clean food always made from scratch by our family. Come break bread with us!

I will start off by first saying the food was exceptional, and I would love to come to DSK again however, there are a few things can could be worked on in my opinion. 1. Seating- I understand it is a eatery inside of another eatery, but maybe thinking of opening a store of your own could be beneficial. Large groups come to eat there leaving smaller groups of 1-3 seatless. That, coupled with extremely long wait times make it difficult to stay. Also, if a very large group is finished eating, they should leave the establishment so others waiting can sit. This restaurant seemed more like a hangout spot, than a restaurant and that is very off putting. 2. Wait time. I understand and appreciate the food is made with love, but if I'm coming on my lunch break- I can't wait 45 minutes for a dish thus leaving me no time to enjoy it before having to clock back in. 3. The employees were highly distracted, so much so I wanted to leave. I understand it's good to have fun at the workplace but this was disappointing. The employees were constantly talking to each other and friends, dancing around, not paying attention to detail, messing up orders at checkout- it was shocking! It is hard for me to patronize a restaurant when the employees were acting out, playing around and not paying attention to the customers needs. ALSO, no one in the kitchen was wearing hair nets, and I saw maybe 1 person wearing gloves. Highly unacceptable and it makes me not want to come back. Employees were standing around eating whilst preparing food for customers! Not very safe and next time I go, if I decide to go, I will be asking to see certificates. 4. The music- while I loved the wide array of genres, it was incredibly too loud. It is a small location so music that loud really messed with the acoustics. Making it frustrating to be inside and also, I couldn't hear the people I came to eat lunch with. 5. Greeting- No one who walked through that door-unless they were a regular- was greeted. It is a shame, because that is something that can really make a person decide if they want to come back and patronize your restaurant again. 6. The print menu, and menu on the wall had discrepancies and had 2 different descriptions for the DSK burger. Finally, I know this review is long, but I sincerely hope the owner of this establish reads this. I really want to come back to DSK to try the other dishes, but I simply can not knowing they are in there playing around, not wearing hair nets, messing up orders at check out, and not greeting potential customer whom walk in. Many people are turned off by the word "vegan" so giving them a warm welcome will more than likely make them want to support your business. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Awesome food. Everything I had was delicious. Got the V-steak, DSK Delux, cheezcake and smoothie. All vegan, all delicious.!! Edit: came back since I hadn't been here in a while and all sorts of new stuff on the menu!! Mac and cheeze and lasagne were amazing!!!

Stopped in today for the V-steak (I added kale) and a hibiscus red. Both were delicious!! Not my first trip, and definitely not my last either.

Overpriced and underwhelming. The portions were small for the price. The mac and cheese had an off putting flavor that can only be described as wrong. The smoothie would have been very good if it had not been room temperature. When we arrived one of the staff was busy chatting at length with two guests/friends at the counter, leaving one table dirty and another occupied with a game of scrabble the staff had been playing, leaving a family without adequate seating.

The best vegan food I've had since I left LA. Worth the trip to DE. The DSK burger was great, the Mac and cheese was delightful. Make sure you ask about any specials (just sayin, they have chickun and waffles on Sunday!!!!). I had just been to hip city veg, which I really liked, I think drop squad kitchen blows them out of the water. Just don't be in a rush, good food takes time.

Wow, what a treat! I love vegetarian, but am often skeptical of full vegan. Drop Squad has changed that perspective. Brought the whole family and lured the kids with smoothies. My son enjoyed the burger (I didn't tell him it was vegan until he finished it). The refresh tea served hot was incredible, as was the rest of our meal. Super friendly staff and cool atmosphere. I highly recommend it, even for the vegan skeptic. Note: The restaurant is still labeled "Molly's Ice Cream" on the outside, but they say that should be updated soon.

I waited over 30 mins for a salad. There were only 4 other customers in the place when I came in, yet they were so slow with everyone's order. If I didn't pay when I ordered I would have walked out.
