Whether you plan to buy the new Moto X or not, hope that it is a smashing success. This is the approach to making a phone that we need every manufacturer to consider.

#android   #motox   #motoxpureedition

Whether or not you plan to buy the new Moto X Pure Edition when it arrives in September, you should be rooting for Motorola to sell record numbers of them. This new direct-to-consumer approach from a brand like Motorola is something that could help continue to change this industry for the better ...

AFAIK Verizon only discounts line access if you have an active Edge agreement. Byod and out of contract does not receive that advantage, and pays the normal $40 line fee. Could be wrong.

Sprint has a new family share plan that is 10GB of data for $100. You can jump that up to 40GB for $20 more, though.

Sprint is still doing whatever it can to try and compete in the US wireless industry, which really just means that they are continuing to drop the prices on their plans in hopes of convincing you to switch to their network. This morning, the Beckham-friendly carrier announced a new family plan ...

Today's Poll - would you buy a phone if it lacked NFC?

http://bit.ly/1I9lkqv
The OnePlus 2 doesn't have NFC, did you know that? Of course you did, because it's all anyone can say in the comments when telling others why they aren't buying one. OnePlus supposedly thinks that no one uses NFC, even though we are finally at a time where Apple has given in and begun using the ...

The lack of NFC is not a big problem in the USA since the American merchants won't get off their asses and install terminals. If I were a Starbucks fan, then I might use it. I have it on my phone, but keep it off for better battery life.

Depending on how long you have been reading DL, you may recall a while back when we would write up weekly announcement posts of when new 4G LTE markets would light up across the US. Seeing as how it's mid-2015, those posts don't happen anymore, as Verizon's rollout of LTE was complete some time ...

No one does Android news like we do, especially when it involves pink.
Introduction
We have this little obsession with Android super devices that find their way onto U.S. networks. Can't explain it, but it's a hell of a lot of fun to do.
