Chomp SMS and Textra get updates that could help stop Stagefright attacks.

#android   #stagefright

http://bit.ly/1OTwTXp
On Monday, a pretty serious security vulnerability in Android's Stagefright was exposed, one that has left almost all Android phones susceptible to an attack. Of course, at this time, the vulnerability has been kept under wraps and supposedly only shared with Google and OEMs to hopefully get it ...

Controlling your invitation settings in Hangouts should be much simpler within the next day or so.

#android   #hangouts

http://bit.ly/1IuqSei
Googler Jordanna Chord announced via G+ yesterday that they are rolling out new invitation settings to Hangouts over the next day or so. These new settings should “make it easier for folks to communicate,” but from what we can tell, they are really just a simplified version of the current ...

YotaPhone 2 not coming to the US. Only 500 people backed it, soooooo yeah. Next!

#android   #yotaphone

http://bit.ly/1MyKown
The YotaPhone 2 isn't coming to the US. Even though it saw a bit of support through an Indiegogo campaign aimed at bringing it stateside, problems manufacturing the phone have caused a delay that hasn't made it worthwhile to ship. Because of these delays, Yota Devices is worried that by the time ...

It is a cool phone, but the price was just too high. Midrange specs at high end prices = nonstarter

Verizon and LG have teamed up to offer yet another deal on this year's LG G4. If you buy LG's newest flagship at “eligible” Verizon shops from today through August 12, you can grab a $100 Visa prepaid card with it. I'm not seeing any limitations as far as how you have to buy it.

No one does Android news like we do, especially when it involves pink.
Introduction
We have this little obsession with Android super devices that find their way onto U.S. networks. Can't explain it, but it's a hell of a lot of fun to do.
