Sources tell us that Motorola just went through another massive layoff today. More than 50% of staff told they no longer have a job.

http://drd.life/2cyOdYL
According to two sources close to the matter, Lenovo just laid off hundreds of employees at Motorola, potentially more than 50% of the remaining workforce at the mobile device maker. One source actually pegged the number at 700+ out of 1200 remaining who will be told that they no longer have a job within the …

HTC Ocean Master, Ocean Note, and Ocean Smart may be real indeed.

#Android #HTC #Ocean

http://drd.life/2cFYReK
Known HTC info leaker LlabTooFeR is back this week, essentially calling BS on HTC’s denial of last week’s Ocean news. In case you missed it, an HTC designer posted what appeared to be a concept reel of a device codenamed Ocean. The device features pressure sensitive touch controls instead of physical buttons, making it quite the futuristic …

So I'm not switching banks, so I'll continue to swipe my card or insert it for the chip. Not putting that information in my phone.

Over the weekend, we got a lot of talk about what's next for Google. According to multiple reports, October 4 may be the debut of "Andromeda," the final Chrome OS-Android merger. It may then arrive in 2017 on a new Pixel convertible laptop, but may be in testing currently on a Nexus 9.

There is a lot to take in here. Catch up!

Holy title. Apologies for that, but there is a lot to talk about when it comes to the potential future of Android and Chrome OS, thanks to numerous reports that surfaced over the weekend while the rest of us were on vacation, relaxing, consuming a half-dozen growlers of fresh hop IPA, and unplugging like all …

Well, we can now share more information about Google WiFi that has not yet been reported. Enjoy.

#android #googlewifi

http://drd.life/2ctu9XJ
As you now know from reading this report, Google is building its own wireless router called Google WiFi that will debut on October 4. How hot are these icons? Say, hello, to Simpax.

#android #icon #simpax

http://drd.life/2dbJDNT
Here is an icon pack that is not only incredibly hot, it’s also different than anything you have probably used to date. It’s called Simpax, and I highly recommend this as your next home screen customization. Simpax, which stands for “Simplicity Maximized,” made its debut within the past week from designer sikebo, who you may know …

Chromecast Audio has been slashed to just $25 at the moment. That's about the biggest discount you'll see on a Chromecast ($10 off).

#android #chromecast #deals

http://drd.life/2dbloQ5
Before Google launches the next version of the Chromecast, thought be called Chromecast Ultra, they are hosting a deal on the Chromecast Audio that has shaved $10 off the retail price (dropping it to $25). That’s easily the best price we have seen to date. Most discounts on Chromecast devices are $5, since they are …

OnHub routers already can be used as a "mesh" as you call it so you can have multiple ones in every corner of the house so why not use that as an example considering this new Google WiFi is basically an OnHub anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if you could even connect existing OnHub devices to the Google WiFi device.

No one does Android news like we do, especially when it involves pink.
Introduction
We have this little obsession with Android super devices that find their way onto U.S. networks. Can't explain it, but it's a hell of a lot of fun to do.
