I first started learning with Ray after having a less than satisfactory experience with another well known national driving school. The contrast was stark and it was immediately obvious that Ray wasn't just about ticking boxes and filling quoters. He genuinely cares about helping you to become a competent and conscientious driver, and not just about teaching you how to pass the test. After passing my test first time with only 3 minor faults, I feel that this is testament to Rays, patients and high standards of teaching. I thoroughly enjoyed my time learning to drive with Ray, and I'm a little sad to see my lessons come to an end! I can wholeheartedly recommend Ray as a driving instructor.

Best learning experience in my entire life. Raymond is an absolute pleasure to be around, his pacience and teaching mentality are coustom and spot on. As someone who is terrified of driving, I felt relaxed and focused throughout. Passed without any complications. 5/5 would recommend to anyone.

I 100% recommend Ray! I've heard so many horror stories from people I know about their driving lessons, however, with Ray this has never been the case. I passed both my theory and my practical test (first time this week), with his help. I really do believe that you get what you pay for. I have found Ray to be extremely accommodating, understanding, patient and, friendly. He has not just taught me how to pass my test, but how to drive PROPERLY and safely for life. He is very professional and passionate about what he teaches and preaches, and effectively has taught me how to drive in a safe, confident and controlled manner. I have thoroughly enjoyed my lessons and laughed a lot with Ray - he has an awesome sense of humour too (added bonus?!). Even though I'm a nervous wreck, and it must have been a pain teaching me to drive, he managed to conquer my fears and build up my confidence. I'm so happy that I chose to drive with Ray from the very start, and I can't thank him enough.

Alia, thank you so much for the novel ;-) It was a real pleasure to teach you to drive, it was down to your hard work and tenacity that you now are an independent driver. I wish you all the best for the future 🖖

Ray's a really great instructor. Always calm, lovely teaching style and a good company. With Ray you're sure to learn drive in careful controlled manner that feels safe, and he provides all the support and materials you need for the theory test. I'll miss exchanging Douglas Adams quotes in our lessons.

I had left it long time to learn how to drive and was apprehensive about it. Ray was recommended to me by a friend and it wasn't long until I could see why. Ray put me at constant ease and really helped me learn the theory and practical skills I lacked. My learning curve was quick and progressive but never rushed. I quickly found the confidence i lacked with my burgeoning skills. Ray is a very good instructor and a genuinely nice (and funny) guy. My lessons have been an education and really enjoyable, I was actually sad that I passed my test! I could not recommend him to you enough. A big thank you Ray Chris

Choosing Ray as my Driving Instructor is one of the best decisions I've ever made. Having had some lessons with one of the big driving school firms when I turned 17, and quitting before even taking a test, 6 years later I needed an instructor who would rebuild my confidence. Ray did that and more. He taught me to drive rather than pass my test, and as a result I passed my test first time. He let me progress at a rate I was comfortable with (i.e. slowly!), and he will with you too. Having now passed my test, I will be contacting Ray again once I've got my own car to do a Pass Plus course with him. Don't hesitate to contact Ray - you won't regret it!

I needed some refresher driving lessons as it had been a long time since I had driven (having passed my test when I was a teenager). Ray converted me from an absolute nervous wreck of a driver, with so many bad habits, into a cool, calm and collected, totally in control driver... in less than 5 lessons!! I genuinely cannot recommend Ray highly enough. Not only do you learn a lot, you also have a really lovely time in his company :)

Winter Driving. How to drive on Ice and Snow.
The basic rules in the video clip apply now as they did then. With the weather changing for the worst and the snow causing disruption on the roads. The residents of Cambridgeshire would think that all drivers would be prepared and go into winter driving mode as soon as snowflakes begin to fall from the …

Another short post on my blog.
Winter is coming and the roads are getting worse. There's no point in complaining about the state of the the roads, street lighting that doesn't work to yourself or your friends. You can do something about it by reporting it to your local authority. I have put links below for Cambridgeshire County Council but your …

This is probably one of the most dangerous and irresponsible things in driving. It causes more accidents, more traffic and more irritation than anything else.
A crackdown on tailgaters and middle-lane hoggers on the M11 and A14 and other major routes near Cambridge has netted hundreds of motorists. A total of 20 tailgaters were among 235 careless drivers...

It's surprising that so many of my students suffer from this. It's good for them to know they are not the only ones ;-)
Do you ever have trouble telling right from left? For example you’re taking a driving lesson and the instructor asks you to take a left turn and you pause, struggling to think of which way is left. If so, you’re not on your own – a significant proportion of our population has difficulty in telling right from left.

The ONLY official website to book your theory test on is GOV.UK - www.gov.uk/booktheorytest. The Throry Test fee has now been reduced. You'll will now pay £25.

Other websites that you find in search engines could charge a lot more for exactly the same thing. So don't book with any other website.
