Here's a weird car tradition's explanation (just in time for Halloween!) Holding your breath when driving past a graveyard is pretty common superstition and it’s supposed to be a sign of respect for the dead. Common beliefs include that the spirits of the dead will enter your body through your mouth if open while others say that it’s disrespectful to breathe in front of those that cannot.

It's getting chilly outside, and with the changing season comes pesky car troubles. What can you do to prevent your car doors from freezing shut? Use ordinary cooking spray on the rubber gaskets on the inside of your door and then gently wipe with a paper towel. It makes the seals tighter and harder for water to get in.

A pair of plush dice swinging from the rearview mirror has been a fixture of hot-rod culture since the 1950s. According to legend, this trend originated with American pilots in WWII who placed dice (with 7s showing) in the cockpits of their planes for good luck on their missions. After the war, many of those pilots shifted their need for speed from airplanes to street rods and kept the dice tradition alive. Plastic dice had a tendency to melt so the plush version became popular instead.
