Anyone interested in signing up for a beta test of one of these new features?

I'm interested in the cell-to-wifi handoff.

has anyone else been having problems with the messaging app? My mom has a moto G on my account and I have the X (2013), and we've both recently been having problems with the default messaging app. When receiving picture messages (not all mms, like group texts, just pics) the app opens and I can open all conversations except the one with a pic in it. The app promptly shuts down and give an error message that it quit.

For the mean time I switched to Hangouts. I don't know what how my mom is handling this- she's new to smart phones and doesn't know a Hangout from a Messenger. But MMS are spotty at best with Hangouts, so I'd like to resolve the issue with Messanger.

Advice?

This was happening to my phone too. I was able to fix it by deleting the thread in question. Good luck, hope this helps.

Quick question: Can I change the vibration notification?

When my phone is on vibrate and I'm using the default messaging app, I get a quick "vt-vt", but when I'm using Hangouts, it's more of a "vvvt --vvvvt". Can I get Hangouts to do a "vt-vt"?

It'll be great for us if this ever happens.

(bonus: guy in the image is using a Moto X)

My girlfriend and I come here all the time. The food and drinks are great (they're very sensitive to lactose sensitivity or soy allergies and all that), and they'll put any wrap in a bowl as if it were a salad. I usually get the Chickabee wrap. The internet is a bit weird here. Every time I'm here, at least half of the people are on their computers, but the internet rules are a bit strange. I don't remember them exactly, but I believe they don't turn on the wifi until 3pm and then you may have to pay. Unless you order food or something, and then it's free? I forget, but it's not free-for-everyone like a lot of coffee shops.

This place was clean, which I know is important to most people. It was also very small (as, I'm sure most hotels in New York are), but very efficient. The towels rolled up and hid under the sink, the bed had drawers under them, low-profile shelves doubled as a window sill, etc. My biggest complaint is that the wifi network was so slow that it might as well not have existed. There are so many wifi networks available that the congestion makes it hard to keep a connection for longer than a minute. If you're planning to get some work done during your stay, either make sure you won't need the internet or choose another hotel.

This place is great, and the prices are more than reasonable. I've been here a number of times to have my shoes shined and to buy shoeshine. However, last week I needed my shoes repaired and Jimmy's went above and beyond. Short story long, I had a wedding tonight that I need my dress shoes for, but the leather soles and heels needed to be replaced. My plane left early Friday morning, and I didn't have time to pick up the shoes on Thursday, so my lovely girlfriend offered to help me out (she had also dropped them off earlier in the week). She was running late and forgot her wallet. The guy at the counter said he'd never done this before and expected to never do it again, but he let her take my shoes with a promise that we'd mail him a check. So I dropped a check in the mail on the way to the airport early Friday morning and I'm putting on my expertly shined, re-soled, and re-heeled dress shoes right now and heading to the wedding. Thank you so much for being flexible.
