This book blog used to be, "The Bookmark at the U," but I reclaimed it and have relaunched it as, "Wanna Bookmark With That?"  All about books, authors, publishing, and occasionally, bookmarks.

When I have a choice between shopping at two stores with the same items, why would I choose the one with higher prices?  High employee morale.  High morale corresponds to great customer service!
I love shopping at Harmon's Grocery Stores in Utah.  With all the other choices I have, that is where I go. There's ONE big thing that keeps me shopping there. The customer service. There's a Harmon's about mile from my hous...

The problem with too many people is they aspire to be "the boss" in order TO BE in charge, rather than TO LEAD the charge.

It's amazing how far a simple "thank you" can go with customers, vendors, and yes, with employees.

Your product(s) and services are important, but your employees are more valuable.  They are the heart, the hands, and the face of your business.   #morale   #employeesatisfaction

Beautiful area of the Oregon coast. The areas around the lighthouse have amazing views of the coast, both north and south. While at the lighthouse, take the short walk down to Cobble Beach to see a beach unlike any other.

This is a combined Taco Bell and Pizza Hut Express, but when I come here I stick with the Taco Bell menu as I've never been very impressed with the pizza offerings. It's been remodeled within the last couple of years and has a bit nicer dining room area. The food is what you would expect from any Taco Bell. The biggest drawback to this location is the ordering, especially at the window. ALWAYS check your order before leaving. About 1/3 of the time I find either missing items, or an incorrect item in my order. They are open late (often until 1 a.m.) so it's a good place to grab a late snack. This is a location that is open for breakfast as well, supposedly at 7 a.m., but I've been here a couple of times prior to 8 a.m. And it wasn't open yet.

Les Schwab is the only place I go for tires and alignments. This store and their staff are knowledgeable and friendly, gives you solid price quotes, and let's you know if there are other things you should be aware of. They have a small customer waiting area with cable TV and free popcorn if you decide to wait in the store (they are also within a short walking distance of a couple of convenience stores and several fast food restaurants if your wait is longer). They give you quality service and repairs and you know you can trust their work. If I've ever had a problem with their work they've taken a look and fixed the problem. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is that the service can be slow, but this is primarily because they are a busy location. More help or an expansion of the shop would be welcome.

Temple Square is the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. It is a 10 acre city block filled with religious buildings (including the Mormon Temple and Tabernacle) and beautifully maintained gardens. In November and December the square is filled with an amazing display of Christmas lights and a life-size Nativity scene. There are two visitor centers, with many free displays and short films about the Mormon Church, its history, doctrine, and the importance of families, including family history. The Tabernacle, a wonder of 19th century engineering, is open for tours and for recitals played on the world famous Tabernacle Organ. Music and the Spoken Word with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is broadcast from the building each Sunday. There are also many musical and other performances scheduled year round. A smaller building known as the Assembly Hall is also open to the public. Guided tours are available, starting from the flag pole in the center of Temple Square, or you can wander freely, enjoying the gardens, buildings, and exhibits at your own pace. The only building not open to the public is the prominent, six-spired Salt Lake Temple, but often the gates to the grounds immediately surrounding the Temple are open.

It's a gas station/convenience store, but, I often will stop here rather than the slightly closer (to me) 7 Eleven across the street due to their selection of drinks and food. Their staff is friendly and helpful. I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars because they do seem short staffed in evening hours, often with only one person working the counter, and the line can get long.

This Arby's is located along a busy section of 5400 South in the outer parking lot of a local strip mall. The fare is the same as at any Arby's anywhere else. Customer service is decent to good, but service is slow, particularly at the drive through. It is close to a movie theater in the strip mall, so is a good place to grab a bite to eat before or after a movie.

This was my first visit to Dickie Jo's. I liked the decor, the throwback to the 1950’s, and the employees were extremely friendly. I ordered a Chicago dog with fries and a drink. As a dog aficionado, I wasn't overly impressed. Though the basics were there, it's the little touches that make a true Chicago dog great. The hot dog itself wasn't very flavorful, and the requisite condiments weren't exactly right, and overall wasn't completely satisfying. The portion of French fries weren't very generous for the price paid for the combo meal. I'd probably go back again, but I'd go for a hamburger and stay far away from the dogs.
