This book blog used to be, "The Bookmark at the U," but I reclaimed it and have relaunched it as, "Wanna Bookmark With That?"  All about books, authors, publishing, and occasionally, bookmarks.

When I have a choice between shopping at two stores with the same items, why would I choose the one with higher prices?  High employee morale.  High morale corresponds to great customer service!
I love shopping at Harmon's Grocery Stores in Utah.  With all the other choices I have, that is where I go. There's ONE big thing that keeps me shopping there. The customer service. There's a Harmon's about mile from my hous...

The problem with too many people is they aspire to be "the boss" in order TO BE in charge, rather than TO LEAD the charge.

It's amazing how far a simple "thank you" can go with customers, vendors, and yes, with employees.

Your product(s) and services are important, but your employees are more valuable.  They are the heart, the hands, and the face of your business.   #morale   #employeesatisfaction

I went for lunch, with a small group and we chose the sampler platter. It came with ribs, chicken, ham, brisket, and shredded pork. The sides were a huge plate of Jojo potatoes, and very small bowls of coleslaw, macaroni salad, fried okra, stewed okra, and baked beans. The meats, for the most part were bland, with very little smokey flavor. It seemed that John Hardy's rely's on its BBQ sauces to add flavor- and those sauces are good, with a somewhat sweet aftertaste, but not enough to make up for the blandness of the meats. The Jojo potatoes ran from soft and mushy to hard and crunchy. The other sides were all bland and lacked any real flavor and portions were so small it was difficult to share among 4 of us. This is not a place that I would return to by choice.

This visit was my first to Bo Ling's. The hostess was very friendly and seated us quickly, as there was not many people in the restaurant in the late afternoon. The server was nice and promptly came to the table to get us drinks and take our order. I ordered the Spicy Curry Chicken with vegetable fried rice, and egg drop soup. The soup was a bit on the bland side and could have used either a little more salt or something to give it a little spice. The vegetable fried rice was done well with the addition of soy sauce for a little saltiness. The Spicy Curry Chicken was good, though not what I would consider spicy- a little kick in the aftertaste, but much milder than other spicy curry dishes I've tasted. The chicken was mixed in the curry and coconut milk sauce with carrots, green beans, cabbage, and mushrooms, which gave it a good, hearty flavor, but the portion was on the smallish side. Decor and ambiance was nice. The restaurant was very clean, organized, and well lit. Not my first choice for a Chinese restaurant, and nothing I would travel out of my way to get to, but worth the try if you are in the area.
