Each small daily choice contributes to our long term goals. What small steps are you taking to embrace a healthier lifestyle?
Hitting the gym for a morning workout?
Packed healthy, protein rich snacks and lunch to bring to work?
Making sure to get your water in?

Best decision of my life!! Dr, Kim and his staff are wonderful! I was scared to death of any kind of surgery but after meeting Dr. Kim I had complete faith in him. I knew I was in good hands. The office personnel are amazing! I did not have to fight with my insurance company to get the surgery. They did it for me! I have been especially impressed with all of the support I have had from them since surgery. Dr. Kim and his staff gave me the tool for me to get my life back!

I am so grateful to have chosen Dr. David Kim as my surgeon. He and his staff were very helpful from the moment I walked in the door. All my questions were answered and they made the process very easy. I understood what my financial obligations were going to be from the beginning and I felt his fees were very reasonable. The aftercare provided is outstanding and have been a huge part of my success. Free monthly support group meetings, free exercise glasses, group dinners and 5k's. All if these activities are included when you become a patient and I have met some of he most wonderful people through these activities and it has encouraged me to stay on track with my eating and exercise. If you are considering using Dr. Kim go check him out, you wont regret it!

It's been nearly a year and 160 pounds ago that Dr. Kim did my sleeve. It has been life changing. The clinic staff are wonderful supportive, and the best cheerleaders a person could want. The on-line support group a god send, there is no question that hasn't been asked and they are there for you all the way. This was my first major surgery, so the pre-op classes and information went a long way to settling my nerves. I knew what to expect, what to eat and do and how far out I needed to be for my activity. At the risk of repeating others, the only regret I have is that I didn't do it sooner.

My whole experience was exactly as it was explained to me pre-surgery. Everyone is very helpful and all my questions are always answered. I have to say, I had some reservations as everything just seemed too good to be true. I could not have imagined a better experience. This has definitely changed my life. I am very thankful for KBI.

I have a friend who went to a different surgeon. She feels isolated, confused about what she is feeling, and thinks she has already failed just a few weeks after surgery. She has no support group, nothing like Dr. Kim's "B Book" and she wasn't given a prescription for anti-spasm medication. No one told her she might have spasms when she started introducing new things to her post op stomach, and she didn't know what that wave of pain was when it hit. Dr, Kim patients know what spasms are and what to do about them before they hit. I am so grateful for Dr. Kim and his conservative approach to recovery, for the B Book, and for the great support and follow-up programs.

Because of Dr. Kim and staff, I celebrated my 42nd birthday last week! I credit Dr. Kim's talent for saving my life. I had various health challenges making it hard to function. Dr.Kim ordered a sleep study and other tests to verify my doctors hadn't missed anything; turns out I had a bad hernia contributing to my breathing problems at night! With all the weight loss and hernia surgery, I now sleep peacefully knowing my kids will still have their mom the next day.

Dr. Kim was a horrible experience. There were a series a errors, at my expense and worst of all the surgery experience was horrible. I went to Dr. Kim in May 2015. He was charming and very easy to talk to. I have a couple of medical issues, including a heart attack in March 2015. Dr. Kim was very ok with it and said it did not concern him as long as my tests were fine. So I went through the series of tests. The first being a stress test. I did the stress test only to find the orders from Dr. Kim were wrong. Which meant I had to do it again. I had to pay another copay and go see another cardiologist. NOT FUN! Then I go to see Dr. Kim and they say they see a concerning mark on my xray. This was on a Friday. They stated I needed a ct scan stat. The entire weekend I worried because they made it appear to be concerning. My mother died of lung cancer. Monday I had the scan. There wasn't even a little mark. $200 more dollars. They also make you go to his sleep study clinic, The Destiny Center. I was made to to do 2 sleep studies and then was given a sleep apnea machine. They sent me home with no mask. It took 4 weeks to get them to respond to me to get me a mask. When I finally got it, it was wrong. Finally the day of surgery. I am so excited. They put me under and cut me with 6 incisions and set me up for surgery. Everything was fine, but apparently my blood pressure dropped and they couldn't control it. Something went very wrong. My blood pressure was fine minutes before the surgery. They stopped the surgery and sewed me up. I woke up to find they did not do the surgery due to my blood pressure dropping. I met with Dr. Kim that following Friday. He said he would not touch me and would not do the surgery. He was rather cold to me. He felt it was too soon to my heart attack. He new of my heart attack right from the beginning. I asked what makes the difference. He had no answer. Only to tell me he did not know what when wrong and would not work on me. Now I have 6 scars and no surgery. I am in EXCELLENT health and have had numerous surgeries exceeding 3.5 hrs. This was only a 45 minute surgery. I personally believe they did something wrong and wont admit it. When you go to Dr. Kim. It looks like patient are being herded like cattle. You should see the recovery area, patients walking all around to get the gas out from the surgery. I trusted Dr. Kim and he let me down horribly. All I know now, is I have a fear for another surgery and I have scars and nothing to show for it. A bit of advice...Not only check out the Dr., but check out the Anesthesiologist as well.
