I am so grateful to have chosen Dr. David Kim as my surgeon. He and his staff were very helpful from the moment I walked in the door. All my questions were answered and they made the process very easy. I understood what my financial obligations were going to be from the beginning and I felt his fees were very reasonable. The aftercare provided is outstanding and have been a huge part of my success. Free monthly support group meetings, free exercise glasses, group dinners and 5k's. All if these activities are included when you become a patient and I have met some of he most wonderful people through these activities and it has encouraged me to stay on track with my eating and exercise. If you are considering using Dr. Kim go check him out, you wont regret it!

Dr. Kim was a horrible experience. There were a series a errors, at my expense and worst of all the surgery experience was horrible. I went to Dr. Kim in May 2015. He was charming and very easy to talk to. I have a couple of medical issues, including a heart attack in March 2015. Dr. Kim was very ok with it and said it did not concern him as long as my tests were fine. So I went through the series of tests. The first being a stress test. I did the stress test only to find the orders from Dr. Kim were wrong. Which meant I had to do it again. I had to pay another copay and go see another cardiologist. NOT FUN! Then I go to see Dr. Kim and they say they see a concerning mark on my xray. This was on a Friday. They stated I needed a ct scan stat. The entire weekend I worried because they made it appear to be concerning. My mother died of lung cancer. Monday I had the scan. There wasn't even a little mark. $200 more dollars. They also make you go to his sleep study clinic, The Destiny Center. I was made to to do 2 sleep studies and then was given a sleep apnea machine. They sent me home with no mask. It took 4 weeks to get them to respond to me to get me a mask. When I finally got it, it was wrong. Finally the day of surgery. I am so excited. They put me under and cut me with 6 incisions and set me up for surgery. Everything was fine, but apparently my blood pressure dropped and they couldn't control it. Something went very wrong. My blood pressure was fine minutes before the surgery. They stopped the surgery and sewed me up. I woke up to find they did not do the surgery due to my blood pressure dropping. I met with Dr. Kim that following Friday. He said he would not touch me and would not do the surgery. He was rather cold to me. He felt it was too soon to my heart attack. He new of my heart attack right from the beginning. I asked what makes the difference. He had no answer. Only to tell me he did not know what when wrong and would not work on me. Now I have 6 scars and no surgery. I am in EXCELLENT health and have had numerous surgeries exceeding 3.5 hrs. This was only a 45 minute surgery. I personally believe they did something wrong and wont admit it. When you go to Dr. Kim. It looks like patient are being herded like cattle. You should see the recovery area, patients walking all around to get the gas out from the surgery. I trusted Dr. Kim and he let me down horribly. All I know now, is I have a fear for another surgery and I have scars and nothing to show for it. A bit of advice...Not only check out the Dr., but check out the Anesthesiologist as well.

Dr. Kim saved my life not once but twice! I was sleeved May 2014 and was to have the DS with the surgery in May. Due to liver being to big the DS was not performed. My safety was the top priority with Dr.Kim. December 23, 2014 I was able to have my DS. Down 99 lbs since May 2014 I couldn't feel better!!! I feel like I have my life back. Best feeling ever.

It's very hard to describe in words when someone, or a group of people change your life forever. I walked into Dr.Kim's office for the very first time a far different woman than I did the last visit that I made. The least of those differences is pounds and inches lost. Dr.Kim and his staff begin your journey with transparency, a healthy dose of plain truth, and will assist you in every way you haven't even thought of yet. I've experienced care, true concern, and empathy every step of the way. Even my husband, far removed from much of the support I have received as a patient, has been completely Wow'ed by Dr.Kim, and the associates he works with every day. These lovely folks will take an active interest in you. From Tiffani, to Trudy, to the folks who work in financing, they will remember you, ask about you, and come to care for you. My surgery was not covered by insurance. I was a private pay patient. This was affordable, and I received the absolute top level of medical care. I cannot encourage anyone who is struggling with weight enough to go and speak with them. The first visit is free anyway, so you have nothing to lose. Lastly, you cannot imagine the journey this will take you on. If there is a way to get coverage; these folks will figure it out for you. From there, they will help you with everything, every step of the way. I've made friends I will have for life, had support I would have struggled in vain without, and they even manage clothes swaps! Call....! I've never felt so good about ANY review!

So thankful I chose KBI for my WLS. They provide so much more support and encouragement than I could imagine. The staff and KBI is always so kind and helpful, willing to answer any question. I've lost 117 lbs since my sleeve surgery 8 months ago in Oct 2014. KBI provides the tools and guide on how to be successful. It's up to you to follow the plan. When I started this journey, I told myself I would not fail at this like I had all other attempts to lose weight. And in-order to this, I would follow what they advised me to do. That dedication and the support/encouragement from KBI staff and private FB support group is the reason for my success. They push me to be more active and I've now done 6 5k races and numerous bootcamps with Nate. Thank you for helping my change my life!

Dr Kim performed my weight loss surger in Sept 2011. He was wonderful! I lost over 100 lbs and I have managed to keep it off! I think it is due ot the after care! Dr Kim and his staff care about you and they really want you to keep the weight that you lose off! They have monthly support meetings and I have meet some wonderful friends in the group that help keep me on track. I don't think I would have been successful if I would have went to another Dr! Dr Kim is the best DR by far!!!

Good day- I am a revision patient, I had a lap band installed in May 2008, by another doctor, and had complications. I came to Dr. Kim in July 2014. After having my lap band drained, nutrition classes and some other tests, I had my lap band removed December 23, 2014 and had a sleeve done in its place. My surgery took about 1 hour 45 minutes. I am very happy so far. I have lost 19 pound since starting the Protein shakes a week before my surgery. Dr. Kim's staff is awesome and so was the staff at Victory Medical Center in Hurst TX. Dr. Kim and Dr. Holden really know what they are doing, they work as a team. Their sense of urgency to help their patients can be seen and felt on your first visit. As a lap band patient for 6 years I didn't realize how miserable and desperate I was. I thought what I experience was normal since I made the decision to have that surgery. But looking back now, I should not have allowed myself to suffer for so long. So if you are overweight, have high blood pressure, diabetic, and your cholesterol is on the rise and you don’t see how you can get off the wheel. Come see Dr. Kim. He will be on point, so don’t be shocked or upset. You are seeing the best in the business. Just remember you will start your new journey to a new life. Trust me it is worth it.

I contacted the office of Dr Kim and Dr Holden in January 2014. Dr Holden performed my vertical sleeve surgery in July 2014 and since then I have lost not only pounds but many inches and clothing sizes as well. I've also lost my diagnosis as type 2 diabetic and I no longer have high cholesterol. I've gained friends and fun acquaintances...I may have lost pounds but I've gained so much, much more!
