Calling all GMs! Event submissions are open for Dragonflight 38!

Now is a good time to register for the convention, and get your events set up in the system.

The earlier, the better! The sooner you get your events submitted for approval, the sooner we can work with you for any needs you might have regarding space, tables, prize support, or anything else. Last year we were forced to turn away some GMs in high demand time slots. The early nerd gets the wurm!

Both registration for the convention and event submissions are up and running via Tabletop.Events. This year you'll both buy tickets to the convention through this site, as well as sign up to host games or play games.

Tabletop.Events (https://tabletop.events/login)

You'll need to create a login on Tabletop.Events, then pick Dragonflight 38 from the list of available conventions. Then click the “submit events” button, and you’ll be directed to a simple form for submitting your event.

If you have any questions or need any technical assistance, feel free to contact us here, or via email at info@dragonflight.org

Dragonflight 38 will be taking place August 25-27, 2017 at the Bellevue Hilton. We hope you can join us!

We currently have 409 scheduled gaming events in the system--which is amazing. Thank you to all the dedicated GMs!

We expect to continue to accept game submissions until Aug 15, but be aware that we are running out of table space, particularly in the ballroom on Saturday. If you submit a game, we'll do our best to fit you in the schedule, but it may not be in the ballroom.

The slate for the Board of Directors election is set. We are allowing absentee voting for Dragonflight members who can't make the convention this year. For more information, see: http://wwwdrag.condemic.com/wp/non-profit-organization/2016-board-election/

This is from Nancy White, our volunteer coordinator.

To all our Dragonflight members:

I'm sure you've all heard we are a completely volunteer run organization. We have a small staff that works hard to provide our membership with a weekend of exceptional game playing opportunities, but we can't do it all alone. Right now we have several tasks/jobs that need to be filled. If you are so inclined to help, please contact us at volunteers@dragonflight.org. Some of the jobs would take just a few hours, and we'd really appreciate your help. But, if you're interested in more than a few hours, we can put you to work. See our site for our reward program. You could even have your admission (not membership dues) reimbursed. We promise you, we're never going to ask people to clean toilets or anything like that.

Again, if you're interested in helping at the convention, please contact us at volunteers@dragonflight.org

Here is a list with some of the jobs that we need to fill:

Dealer room assistance
Game Library
Scavenger Hunt
Kids Program
Set up (before the convention)
Tear down (after the convention)
Registration
Auction

Thanks to our awesome publications staff, we are able to extend the deadline for the printed program until the end of Sunday Jul 24. So please do keep entering games if you want them in the printed program!

GMs get the gratitude of hundreds, some neat incentives, and some nifty gold badge ribbons!

We have heard that some of you have had difficulty booking a hotel room of your choice at the Bellevue Hilton. If you either, a) haven't been able to book a room because rooms are not available, or b) had to book a king room, but would prefer double queen beds, please email the convention director at: conventiondirector@dragonflight.org
