Dark and Gorgeous
I am dark and gorgeous, she says, looking into my eyes, and you love me deeply. Yes, I concur, but I don't care that you are dark and gorgeous. I am in love with your mind!
She rolls up her eyes in despair.

Flames
Do you remember our cave days, she asks me, when we danced by the fire, painted on the walls, making love? We're in the 21st Century honey, I reply. She gazes through me, flames in her eyes.

Open the Heart
One needs to open the heart, she told me. I am listening. I have always been a good listener.

The Hermon iris is endemic to Mt. Hermon and the Golan Heights, and is in the red list of endangered plants. This couple of flowers are located rock throwing distance from a central junction in the Golan Heights, and are visited yearly by thousands of visitors. This photograph was taken on my first encounter with Hermon irises.

Self
In 1992 I visited the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, in Albuquerque, NM.
This is a scan of my photograph, a color slide, of probably a restoration of the painted wall. I deliberately left a few scratches untouched, to keep authenticity and to maintain the strong impression of mutual identity between the painter and his painted image.

Not for life
A young woman stepped into my clinic and told me she considers marrying her boyfriend, knowing it may not be for life. "And that's OK" she told me.
Romanticism is the art of exaggeration of intent in relationships. Like fairy tales that end up with "happily ever after", they both have an important role in keeping couples together through crises.
I have recently written a few more articles, in Hebrew, in the Israeli most popular online newspaper Ynet. The latest explains why romantic fantasies still have an important role.
Not for faint hearts...

Do Not Stay Over
Your eyes are like starlight now, I told her. You've got to go away, she replied. So I did.

The Negev iris is endemic to the north-western parts of the Israeli Negev, and is in the red list of endangered plants. Here's a photograph of a couple of rare albino flowers.
