The wonderful thing about January and the new year is the ability to wipe the slate clean and look forward to a fresh start. This means we have new opportunities, new experiences and new people to look forward to. In case you missed my 2017 New Year Manifesto, here are a few pearls for you to take with you:

LESSON 1: Don't ever let anyone be the owner of your dreams, or the keeper of your stars. OWN YOUR OWN dreams! The power is within you to manifest those dreams into reality.

LESSON 2: If you fall -- dust yourself off and AUDACIOUSLY push ahead. Your dreams are just beyond the hurt and disappointments.

LESSON 3: Have FAITH. Not just any faith, UNWAVERING AUDACIOUS FAITH. Trust that God has control of the situation.

LESSON 4: LET GO. Remember, people have their own free will and have their own views on how things should be. If they hate you, learn to let it go. It is their S%*T, not yours. Not everyone is going to love and adore you, and that is OK.

LESSON 5: TRUST in the process -- that is life. Take risks and put it all on the line. Do things that scare the HELL out of you! If it scares you, it is worth doing.

LESSON 6: LOVE. Not just any love, folks. REAL, CRAZY, AUDACIOUS, SILLY, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! If you see something, or someone, you want, go after it. What's the worst thing that could happen -- they say no? That doesn't mean you aren't worth it, because YOU ARE! It just means that they can't see all the wonderful things you are. Maybe, your light is just too damn bright for them!

LESSON 7: God is GOOD! Without unwavering faith in God, nothing would be possible. HE has provided for all of your needs. HE will protect you from harm, guide your decisions, shield you from the wrong people. HE carries you and releases all of your burdens, and forgives you for all the wrongs you may have done.

LESSON 8: BE FLEXIBLE. Of course, yoga can do this for you, but that's not what I'm talking about. Go with the flow. Let it flow like Draino. Roll with the punches. CHANGE IS GOOD. Accept each new opportunity as just that, an opportunity to grow and learn new skills. Just because one door closed doesn't mean you shouldn't walk through the next one that opens. Walk through!

LESSON 9: GRATITUDE. Be thankful for all the blessings in your life. Thank your friends who are there for you, no matter what. Be forever grateful for the roof over your head, food in your belly, and AC in the desert. Be grateful for each new day, each new beginning and each breath you take.

LESSON 10: DO NOT BE AFRAID. Fear is a parasite that crushes hopes and dreams. In 2017, replace fear with FAITH.

Some final words: Be kind. Be courteous. Think before you act. Hold someone's hand. Be gentle with other's hearts. Hug a child. Make time for those you love. Meditate. Get more sleep. Eat less crap. Avoid talking about politics. Respect other's views. Do not be passive-aggressive, say what you need to say. Don't cut people off in traffic. Stick your toes in the ocean. Go sledding. Tell someone you love them. Take your vitamins. Travel and take adventures. If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything. Don't push other's buttons, it is not funny. Don't stare at the pretty girl at the gym, you are making her very uncomfortable. Wash your hands. Make your bed. Always bring a gift for the host when you are invited to dinner. Send a card to someone special via snail mail. Leave little notes with kind words. Compliment the clerk at the grocery store. Love yourself more, always. Watch movies that make you laugh. Watch movies that make you cry. Go to church and sign praise loud and proud, no matter how bad of a singer you are. Smile often. Love the body you are in, each and every day. Live in the moment and don't wish for tomorrow. Be hopeful and optimistic. Speak kind words to yourself. Walk away from negative people. Do not engage in hatred. Thank a police officer for keeping you safe. Say a prayer for all those we have lost. Make it a FABULOUS YEAR!

Have you become a HUMAN PETRI DISH for Pharma? Do the drugs that are meant to make you feel well, instead make you more sick and tired? Did you know it could have started way back when you were a child?

Like many children, from a very early age I was exposed to an onslaught of pharmaceutical drugs. As most confused, stressed out and fearful parents would do, my parents placed all of their faith and trust in all of the medical diagnoses and treatments I was given – after all, the doctors are the “experts” in medicine. I know my pediatrician was doing his best and with every new prescription written, he hoped he was supplying the “cure” I desperately needed for my symptoms; unfortunately, the treatments piled up. As is the case with many “sickly” young children, I was quickly becoming a HUMAN PETRI DISH for the pharmaceutical industry. Each passing year, drug after drug was prescribed for every new symptom I was experiencing. Maybe it was an oversight, but not once was the safety of these treatments questioned with each new chemical introduction into my frail and tiny body. Was there even a second thought given to the possibility of any long-lasting detrimental side effects that could surface negatively later in life? I don’t have the answers to those questions, and I will never know. Many questions remain unanswered, but in Paul Harvey’s words, “It is time for the Rest Of The Story.”

What exactly is a Bucket List? I personally like the definition that was used in the movie, The Bucket List, “All the things you want to do in life before you ‘kick the bucket”. When I referenced the official Google dictionary, the definition is as follows, “a number of experiences or achievements that a person hopes to have or accomplish during their lifetime.” So, it is essentially the same definition.

In my Sunday Spirituality and Inspirational message, you will be given INSPIRATION and MOTIVATION to get your week off and running! I will teach you HOW and WHY you should create a Bucket List! You will be given the TOOLS necessary to get you started on your own personal list. Grab a pen and some paper, and follow along…

Just in case you missed the movie, here is a quote you missed out on that is a source of inspiration to me:
“One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it’s worth watching.” In essence, don’t put off doing something you want to do today to save it for tomorrow… you may not have another tomorrow to get it done.

Gain important insights into this unique healing journey and prepared to be inspired, motivated and energized to find ways to teach your body to heal itself. WOW! It is kind of funny how sometimes we journal a message and we happen to trip on it -- by accident. I had one of those "accidents" today. In my quest to keep the FAITH and stay POSITIVE, I am getting myself RE-ENERGIZED with my original message. WHY am I on this path and WHY am I going through these painful growing pains? Just when I think I'm on the verge of calling it quits, I am reminded WHY I am here. It is a good day when you can bring YOURSELF to tears! This message is for anyone who NEEDS it, because it is timely for so many right now. We all could use a dose of positivity in the next few days.

Let go, and let God. God doesn't need your help today.

This is where all of us should be. We need to ask HIM for what we want in our life and listen to that little voice within us. It is like "Faith the size of a Mustard Seed". Have faith like that!

Are you heeding the calling that you are meant to do? When you are doing what you are passionate about, you will know that it is your spiritual calling.

Take a few minutes for this motivation and inspiration!

5 Things That Happened When I Went VEGAN

This is my video testimonial to my journey of being a #vegan. Disclaimer, this does not apply to everyone who tries to be a vegan. I respect this way of life and it works for many people, but not everyone.

Going into this, I had a few challenges that made my experience unique. Being a Toxic Mold survivor, I am more predisposed to overgrowth of candida yeast in my gut. If I increase my sugar intake, including fructose in sugars, I create the perfect storm for yeast overgrowth in my system. Finally, due to a drug toxic side effect, I have gut dysbiosis and leaky gut syndrome. As a result, I have several food intolerances that severely limited my selection of meat-free foods. These intolerances included, wheat/gluten, grains, rice, quinoa, soy, beans, cruciferous veggies, onions and garlic, and many more!

Watch this video to hear the update and where I am now!

You are smarter if you have more "junk in your trunk"! Can you believe it?!!

A recent study found that increased mass in the derriere was connected to enhanced memory and cognitive abilities due to the link of increased omega-3 fatty acids in the diet, that is the good fats. Women also were found to have higher levels of leptin, which contributes to weight loss by singling the brain that you are full and helps prevent you from overeating. This is ALL good news! My trainer, Kayla Michelle Fit, will be pleased that we can now promote "bubble butt" even more!
