So i would like to confirm from you before buying the Kumkumadi OIL(not cream) for my acne prone skin. I am doubting because usually an oil is supposed to be increasing the oiliness of skin. pls guide if it will help.
Thanks..
Answer:
Namaste!
Hi, please try with a few drops of kumkumadi oil. Apply it, leave it for 15 minutes and then wash off. Try it for 1 week. You will know if it suits your skin. Most probably, it should.

Q: Thank you for the wonderful article.
Nowadays, most of the Amla products (powder, chyawanprash) are made using hybrid variety of Amla. Some websites and vaidya are touting benefits of wildcrafted Amla powder and other ayurvedic herbs and selling them at 5x times the normal rate.
Is there any difference in the efficacy of the ayurvedic medicine when sourced using wildcrafted herb versus hybrid variety of herb?

Thank you
Answer:
There is no technique available to differentiated wildcrafted vs hybrid amla in chyawanprash.
Reputed brand / organic versions are a bit more safer.

Q: You say Cinnamon increases Pitta Dosha.
But Dr I think it is one of the very few spices that does not increase Pitta too much. Even lesser than Black Pepper, is my experience. So those of us with Pitta living in hot places that would like to cut down on hot spices like Chilli etc, its even more beneficial than Black Pepper. What would you say?
Answer:
Totally agreed!. Read more about cinnamon benefits -

Cinnamon improves digestion strength, is useful in diabetes, high cholesterol, its oil is applied externally for premature ejaculation and insect bites. Read more about this wonderful spice.
