I've had Holcomb in both eyes, and I just had Intacs put in my right eye, and Dr. Brian and his staff have been simply outstanding. I have Tourette's and I get very anxious when it comes time to have any work done on my eyes. Dr. Brian and his staff were extremely understanding, very patient, and willing to work with me to make it as easy a visit as possible. I was given enough Valium to keep me relaxed and they talked me through everything so I never had to wonder what was happening next. I highly recommend Dr. Brian to anyone with kerataconus who needs to have their vision corrected. I will definitely return to have the CK procedure done as well. Thank you Dr. Brian & staff for being so awesome and helping me get my vision corrected.

Our son had intacts for one eye after Holcomb previously by Dr. Brian. The staff were wonderful working with his Tourette's and uncontrollable movements. They did what was necessary to calm him, allowed him the extra time necessary to calm down and successfully completed the short procedure. Dr. Brian called him that evening to follow up and make sure all was well and answer any questions. I highly recommend Boxer Wachler Vision Institute!

I did not write a review right away because I was doubtful. Here I am 3 months post Crosslinking on my 12 year old son. My son says he can see better and was able to see better the following day after the procedure. I'm so happy he was treated by Dr. Brian. He is now seeing Dr. Weiss, the OD at Dr. Brian's office. Both Dr. Brian and Dr. Weiss make you feel as if they really care. They both make me feel that my child is in the best hands. Thank you Dr. Brian and Dr. Weiss! :)The staff is also very professional, helpful and warm. They treat you with so much respect. Thank you all!

I had never seen an eye doctor for anything other than a vision checkup, but I have seen a few doctors and dentists in the past decade. Dr. Brian's place is definitely one of the cleanest and staff are very very nice. I think people are genuinely happy working there, most people have been there for many years.

The actual procedure was executed by Dr. Brian very quickly and comfortably. He talked to me about what's happening and what's coming, so I was informed and prepared. I don't have to have any prior experience to know that his skill is second to none. Besides, special thanks to John, who helped do a lot of exams beforehand and all of the prep right before the procedure and assisted during the procedure, is the best! He's super patient and helpful.

After the procedure, I felt really nauseous and disoriented, some girl (PA/nurse) whose name I don't know offered to take me to an empty room, helped me into a recliner, put in eye drops for me, gave me water and turned off the lights to let me rest. She came to check on me every couple hours and did eye drops for me again. I fell asleep in the comfortable recliner and was there for probably 6 hours until I felt ready to go. The fact that they had the space to accommodate me for that long undisturbed after a 15 minute procedure is a huge plus!

The result isn't perfect, but I'm still extremely happy with it. Dr. Brian changed my life and gave me a lot more confidence.

If there's anything to improve, I wish it would be like what you sometimes see on TV where during the pre-op the doctor would put up an x-ray film (it'd be photos in this case) and point to the areas of concern and treatment and explain the procedure, options and risks. In my case, I didn't know what particular areas were treated or not treated until a couple minutes before the procedure. Not that I wasn't okay with the plan or I didn't trust the doctor, but it was definitely a last-minute surprise and I can imagine it causing some people anxiety if they aren't as calm a person as me. I had never had any procedure done in my life, let alone an operation on the most sensitive and important part of my body. I found Dr. Brian on the Internet, when I first went to his website, I had doubts as the website itself doesn't look very professional, well-designed or well-built. Only after I did more research and watched a couple videos did I realize he's actually legit. I'm really glad I found him!

I went to Dr. Boxer Wachler for ICL and C3R to halt keratoconus. The staff here is really friendly compared to other doctor offices I've visited and they genuinely seem happy. They aren't pushy or anything towards treatment and they were able to accommodate my schedule relatively quickly.

The pricing isn't too bad when you consider the pros of C3R (the fact that it doesn't leave you to heal for months like the traditional epi-off CXL). C3R was painless and only takes 30 minutes. Only time will tell if the procedure worked, but based on its success rate and previous patient reviews it seems all will be well.

I highly recommend ICL if you are a candidate as well. It was relatively expensive ($5K range) but the clarity of vision is well worth it and the staff here really made the procedure a breeze. Also, Dr Brian is a gifted surgeon and gets the job done with minimal discomfort (I didn't feel any pain at all during the surgery). Even after the surgery, there was no pain just some slight discomfort the following few days which is to be expected.
I went from 20/400 vision to 20/30 with ICL and I don't have to worry about my contacts drying out anymore.

Anyways, all I can say is give them an email or call. They aren't pushy and you'll see what I mean by how friendly the staff is.

I am only leaving this review because initially when I was searching for a doctor who could treat KC, some people on some forums suggested that Dr. Brian was "arrogant" but this couldn't be farther from the truth. He consulted with me during every appointment and made a personal call after the surgery. That's what I call a caring doctor.

Best move I've ever made in my life was coming to see Dr Brian and his staff. Had his patented Holcomb C-3R crosslink in my right eye and a Visian ICL implant in my left. Very minor (but expected) one day post crosslink irritation with some light sensitivity but fading fast even as I write this. Visian ICL implant was 100% pain free and about a 10 minute procedure that was explained step by step. Exceptional bedside manner, transparency, staff leads you through every step so seamlessly. Minimal wait times and easy access to office in busy downtown Beverley Hills. Would recommend to anyone with any form of keratoconus to explore Dr Brian as he is creative and works WITH you to achieve optimal vision.
