While their Hop Nosh IPA is delicious, the Uinta Brewing website is a good example of a WordPress site with dreadful performance. It's "is my computer broken?" slowness is caused by a page that has a total of 93 HTTP requests and a total weight of 4976.8K bytes with empty cache. The only files that are compressed are two JavaScript files served up by a CDN - but even if all of the HTML/CSS/JS was compressed, the page would still be bogged down with 4.32 megs of images. They site's not responsive, but why bother with a page that size? A mobile user with a 3G connection can have a six-pack downed before the page loads.  They make up for this user-unfriendliness with a kind to the earth policy of energy generation; "Uinta is currently 15% Solar and 85% Wind Powered".

"All around me there were people who had just gotten various orthopedic surgery improvements. They were wondering if they’d ever be able to do the things that they used to do again, which is how I felt using Windows 8."

Good times!
In the video above, you'll find Steve Ballmer holed up in a secret lair somewhere in the desert, wearing a white collarless jacket, stroking a hairless cat, and eagerly explaining how he will soon achieve world domination. "Ladies and gentlemen, I have a plan," he howls. "If this global reinvention is to work, there may be a few competitors that are unfortunately <em>eliminated</em>."

A marvelous video fully expresses the contrast between an engineer's rational mind and the others he sometimes must encounter at work for whom words are the wind that powers sales.

Story
Tagline
Web and mobile app developer in Tallahassee, Florida.
Introduction
I’m a freelance web and mobile app developer in Tallahassee, Florida, having moved here many years ago to study classical guitar and lute and hang out at a great music library. I began teaching myself web development as an antidote to boredom and despair while taking a Visual Basic class. Back at the turn of the century I worked at a DotCom during their Golden Age and developed an appreciation for working with a passionate and dedicated team, having a foosball table available, Friday beers delivered by a wise and inspiring management team, and the ability to telework. I’ve been the web developer for www.askalibrarian.org, Florida’s virtual reference service, since 2004. By paying someone on Ebay lots of money to wait in line for me I’ve been an iPhone owner since the day after they went on sale in 2007, and have been working on mobile-friendly web development, web app, and mobile app development since then. As there can be no effective web or app development without extensive use of analytics during all phases of the development life-cycle, much of my work involves the use of Google Analytics; once a year or so I teach a webinar on Google Analytics for Libraries.

Fine food, knowledgeable and attentive staff, and a good wine list make dining here a pleasure. The Voirin Jumel Brut Rose champagne is dry and delicious and worth twice the asking price. Try the duck breast and quail.

When you walk in you can tell from the aroma that Brickyard knows how to bake and make sauce. Great pizza and delicious enormous antipasto.
