Anybody got an #Android emulator for #GNU / #Linux that they can recommend?

it's gigantic. Plus, the Windows version is pretty garbage. The resizing functionality is all messed up. Additionally, it doesn't show up as a device in Play, making Play completely useless. Is the Linux version better, because if not, it's not worth my time?

I think Android-x86 would be the way to go, but I tried to install both 4.4 and 5.1 yesterday and both ended in failure. I tried both installs and the LiveCD version, and neither worked.

I need at least 4.1 for the app I am trying to use.

I do have some different hardware, so I guess I could try that and see if I get better results.

anybody know how to fool a router into thinking you are a mobile device? It can't include the browser. Mall of America has free wifi for mobile phones. It's not showing up on my laptop, which makes me think they are filtering in some way. I'm not sure how often I will be here, but if it's an easy thing to do, might as well do it.

Luckily, at least for this situation, MOA is like 30 minutes away, so it will be a while before I go back down there probably...I just need to remember this situation if I am going to try to get some work done!
