One of the more interesting wines from Portugal that I tasted at #WBC14 this morning. Monte da Ravasquiera W Reserva Tinto 2011 - earthy and dry with the pepper notes of syrah, which constitutes half of this wine. At the tasting, it was paired with halibut with a tomato compote. It totally works with the acidity of the tomato, but I'm not sure I would serve this with fish.

This is great news - Sandra Oldfield's Tinhorn Creek wines are outstanding.
