Four years ago, Jonathan Walker was badly injured in a car accident and lost part of his left hand and arm.
The Dorset Orthopaedic team created Jonathan’s prosthetic from his elbow to his hand and it’s now being fine-tuned to make it more comfortable. http://ow.ly/HKD9302tpT2

Eight year old Marshall Janson walked on to the pitch to thunderous applause yesterday during halftime of the Spurs Premier League 2-1 home defeat by Southampton.
Spurs fan Marshall got to attend a practice session with his idols and then an invitation to their last game of the season. His dream is to be a goal keeper – and with skills and determination like this, this fan is certainly set for greatness!

In celebration of the upcoming Paralympics, Rio Woolf has chosen a bold design for his new prosthetic socket. For Rio the design choice was simple…it had to look like the Paralympic Torch.

The 2016 Paralympic torch celebrates diversity and equality. The shape of the torch has four angles which represent courage, determinations, inspiration and equality - all of which are in keeping with Rio’s tenacious spirit, youthful energy and ability to meet life’s challenges head on.

Rio recently got to show off his new socket when he appeared on Good Morning Britain. He spoke about the attending the upcoming Invictus Games, meeting his heroes and saying hello to Prince Harry! http://ow.ly/4nuuXf

It seems fitting that Rio, who was named after the famous city, will touch down in Brazil later this year with his very own Paralympic torch!

Let’s help Mark raise money for LimbPower - On May 1st Mark will become the 1st Amputee to ever run the Great Wall of China Marathon worldwide! A first for ParaSport!
The Marathon is 26.2 miles long and has more than 20,000 steps along its length and is known as one of the toughest marathons worldwide. Why is he doing it? To raise £5000.00 or more to equip amputees with limbs that are suitable for sport.
“I want to also show that life after amputation is possible. I am 53 years old and having lost my lower left leg some 18 years ago I have always wanted to get back into sport.”
Please show support & help Mark to reach his goal! http://ow.ly/4mTjcs
