12 Baby Rooms that aren’t a Bore
#interiordesign   #homedecor
A funny thing happens when it comes to decorating nurseries. They fall into the dull blue-or-pink dichotomy. They’re being designed for children, but sometimes they wind up looking like they were designed by children. In an effort to decorate for an infant, the space can be overwhelmed by infantilized decoration that neither parent nor child …

So, organic modern. The term isn’t totally new, but it’s been cropping up with increasing frequency in the interior design blogosphere, and that’s a trend we expect to continue and pick up for some time to come. Sophisticated Steam Punk: Turning Clockwork Fantasy into Chic Interiors
What is steam punk? Originating in the late 1970s as a peculiar stripe of science fiction that took its inspiration from early 1900s-era steam machinery, steam punk made a major mainstream splash in the 1999 Will Smith film Wild Wild West. That giant mechanical spider? Very, very steam punk. In October, Guillermo del Toro is …

I had been searching for a specific Meshad rug that I had seen overseas. It was a frustrating experience to say the least because so many rug stores carry such mass produced products and don't offer true antique rugs. I was so thrilled when I was referred to Doris Leslie Blau and they actually had what I had been searching for. It's an absolutely beautiful piece and I will cherish it for years to come. They had so many other treasures that I couldn't help myself and I actually ended up buying another rug as well that was truly one of a kind. They have excellent knowledgeable service and I will definitely shop here again.

Doris Leslie Blau is the best source in New York for vintage and antique rugs. I have purchased several and they are of the best quality possible. The last one I purchased was a large French Deco rug which is the center piece of my Manhattan apartment. It makes the entire room. Guests can’t stop looking at it. I am so pleased with all my purchases from Doris Leslie Blau!!

I love the look of vintage Swedish Carpets. They fit my style perfectly. Doris Leslie Blau has the best selection of vintage rugs in New York, especially Swedish. Whenever they have a new arrival I am always notified. I can’t wait to see the next one.

I invested in a Kazak rug from Doris Leslie Blau a few years ago and I was hooked. I can’t stop staring at the geometric pattern of it and the vibrant colors. I am waiting for the perfect antique rug for my next purchase. I can’t wait until I find it in their huge selection of vintage and antique rugs. The staff there is great. They let me come and look all I want because they know that I will buy again soon.

Doris Leslie Blau was the only place I could find a selection of Arts and Crafts rugs to compliment my collection of Stickley and Roycroft furniture in my Craftsman home in New Jersey. I found an Art Nouveau Donegal rug that was perfect for the main room of the house. I am current looking for another for the dining area. I am certain I will find it there when I return to New York soon.

Amazing gallery and wonderful service! I was looking for a rug that paints a picture and the assistant at the gallery was extremely helpful in showing me all the relevant carpets and depict a scene. In the end I found my perfect textile with unfettered design!

I have purchased a few Persian rugs from Doris Leslie Blau over the years. The only reason I have not bought more vintage rugs is I ran out of space. I am looking for a bigger place and soon I will be back there for another.
