  • Donyale & Associates
    Executive Producer, 2009 - 2012
Donyale is a writer, producer and business development specialist. She creates concepts for television and cinema and is represented internationally by a British sales agent. As executive producer, Donyale produces branded content for companies wanting to overcome consumer resistance to standard advertising. Her producer credits include seasons 1 and 2 of cooking show "Noma Nini" (for Tiger Brands and ETV) and a fully animated TVC campaign, "Aus Bee" (for BPOMAS and Botswana TV). Donyale is the writer/ producer of three original TV projects: "Lortan's Africa" (action-adventure travel show), "Raising the Bar" (competition-driven reality show) and "Kitchen Adventures" (children's cooking show). These shows are currently in negotiation with broadcasters in South Africa and the United Kingdom. Donyale is a freelance editor and published author of numerous non-fiction articles, particularly travel pieces on Africa. Her first book, a memoir called "States of Emergency", is under construction. Donyale is currently honing her screenwriting skills as she works on a slate of original thriller/ horror short films for stereoscopic (3D) production. She continues to benefit from the National Film and Video Foundation's development programme, which has been instrumental in supporting and enhancing her scriptwriting skills. Donyale's first film script, "Feast - A Cautionary Tale" has secured a leading actor and 30% of its production budget. Her second feature script, "Zombie Season" is in development.

Waterfront Studios, incorporating Condor Cape, Waterfront Post, Tabletop Studio, The Film Lab, and Ngage Digital, which together form the largest post production pipeline with the biggest creative team in Africa (at the time). I also volunteered on the board of Animation SA and mentored emerging filmmakers at Runway, a Cape Film Commission initiative, where I shared proposal writing, presentation and pitching skills.
