We're so proud to see Insall Associate Aimée Felton named as one of 119 inspirational women in architecture by RIBA today for #EthelDay, celebrating the first woman to be admitted to the RIBA as an architect.
As a conservation architect, Aimée led our team for the restoration of Temperate House at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, which opened to the public in May this year to much critical acclaim. She describes it as "a complex and immensely rewarding project, recalibrating contemporary understanding of Victorian architecture and the development of past innovations."

Last week we had an all-staff training day - yes, all eight branches of us and not just the architects - at the beautiful Kelmarsh Hall where we could appreciate Nancy Lancaster's wonderful interiors. We spent most of the day participating in hands-on workshops in lead working, plastering, carpentry and stone carving under the expert guidance of Midland Conservation so we all can better understand traditional building techniques.
