Wild Geese

You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your
for a hundred miles, through the
desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal
of your body
loves what it loves.
Tell me about your despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on. Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes, over the prairies and the deep trees, the mountains and the rivers. Meanwhile, the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how, lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you, like the wild geese, harsh and exciting
over and over announcing your place in the family of things.

Exactomundo. But i have no intention of giving them a chance. I could care less about the developers perspective and the difficulty of monitizing android. I refuse to be Apple only. I have macs, windows, ipads, and an android. My cloud storage must deal with them all where it makes sense. Steve had an idea, but this is not hobbit land any more.

iCloud is a joke. I want direct access to my files. Apple likes to treat all their users as children.

Read, listen.

Things change, and mostly for the better, when you realize that your point of diminishing returns with money and stuff is much lower than you once believed it to be.

Perhaps the most difficult transition for me in that regard is losing the part of motivation and ambition that is fueled by the craving for more money and things than I have at present.

These past three years in which I've felt intellectually driven to fully monetize my work - largely due to the indoctrination that the only real proof that the work I'm doing is worthwhile or productive is money - have found me often conflicted.

Not because I have anything against earning money. I've done that for much of my life, and making an honest living is nothing to balk at.

But because for some reason, at my core, I don't want to commoditize this work I've been doing for three years.

Writing away the pain of certain extraordinary events, sharing my experiences and life lessons with anyone who might find comfort or resonance, relaying it all through my passion for food, and hopefully inspiring others to find the same kind of healing, joy, and meaning in cooking...

I am a freak.  I'm a deadhead.  I'm a dad.  I take your photo. I cook the dinner, I make the cocktails, and I work locally to make my world a place more beautiful.

If you circle me here, be advised I have nothing to sell, nothing I believe, and am convinced that one shouldn't even be convinced. But I'm full of love, full of sorrow, full of desire to be here now.
Bragging rights
I have an instinct for a certain aesthetic. It won't win any awards but it will make you smile, get you tipsy, or taste really good. Anything more than that is not what I'm really doing.
