Interesting article discussing the idea of colleges charging more tuition for certain degrees based on their earnings potential and other factors.

Very interested to see how the photo product industries adapt to this development. How is Yahoo going to get an ROI on delivering that much storage space? Is it a marketing splash with the bet that storage will just get cheaper and cheaper with age? If you want to talk disruption to the market, this is it.
Yahoo followed its purchase of Tumblr, a cool, hip brand, with a fresh revamp for Flickr, another cool and once beloved start-up that has struggled to retain its luster since it was acquired.

Writing for +Addicted to Quack is an interesting adventure sometimes. While it isn't in my day-to-day work life, I get an interesting exposure to the wild ride of modern journalism. Twitter has completely changed the game, so much that being first often takes a backseat to being right.

I'm happy to have it as a hobby because it's helped me to look at those types of streamed reports in a critical light. Sometimes journalism is about the process rather than the actual content.

As part of the blog management group for SB Nation's Oregon Ducks blog, Addicted to Quack, I'm proud to pass on that we just finished our yearly fundraiser to support the fight against Brittle Bone Disease. We successfully raised over $3300 over the last month to support the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation and their mission.
Thank you to everyone that gives to the less fortunate. We are blessed because of your giving.

Had a very positive experience after a recommendation from my neighbor. The first time I called, I was put on hold for a few minutes because it was pretty busy. Once on the line, I was given some prices and some advice on my particular situation in a courteous and helpful fashion. When I called back a little while later, I was able to get right through to the same person that took my call earlier who happened to remember me. Since I had never ordered from such a place, I expected to give them a week or so notice for a delivery. They informed me they could even do it same day as I placed the order. The prices were also much better than Home Depot or Lowes where I had been going. Very impressed. When the scheduled time arrived, the driver was right on time in delivering the compost that I ordered and made a point to drop it right where I needed it for my project, even doing some fancy maneuvering to get it in the exact spot to reduce the work I needed to do. It was a great first experience and I look forward to doing business with The Bark Place again for my future home projects.

I had a crack in my SUV's windshield that went about 3/4ths of the way across. I had been putting off getting it done but finally felt the time was right. I chose Smith Glass because they were a local business in Albany even though my insurance company was driving me towards a national chain. Couldn't be happier with my choice going with Smith. They asked me a few questions about my glass and were able to get me in the next day. Long story short, I thought I had made a mistake in giving them some of the specifications of the glass so I drove down there late in the day. They found my mistake, were able to correct the glass order they had placed, even very late in the day, without having to reschedule. They also were able to give me a ride back to my house despite me arriving late and messing up their schedule in the process. The quality of the install was excellent. They provided me with instructions on how to take care of it, explained the warranty in clear language that I could understand, and even stayed a few minutes late after closing to ensure I had everything I needed. They also dealt with my insurance, making sure all i's were dotted and the t's were crossed. Buying local, adjusting to my mistakes, excellent customer service and quality. I would highly recommend Smith Glass Service for any auto windshield replacement needs and will gladly use them in the future.
