A Blue Whale spout can reach heights of up to about 30 feet in the air! Awesome whale watching yesterday with a Blue Whale and a pod of around 50 Common Dolphins. Photo: Craig DeWitt #CaptDaves #WhaleWatching #DanaPoint #BlueWhale #CreatingMemories

Look ma, see how high I can jump! 🐬 We have over 400,000 common dolphins off our coast. So happy to see a new calf make that 400,001. Photo: Mark Tyson #CaptDaves #WhaleWatching #DanaPoint #CreatingMemories

#tbt When you're strolling along the beach and suddenly....🐳

This breaching gray whale was photographed 3 years ago today by Craig DeWitt. The gray whale migration past SoCal is winding down, but we still have a couple more weeks of seeing them. And then we'll be into blue whale season!

Join us on our 12:30 PM Dolphin & Whale Safari today for an opportunity to buy amazing drone photos from today's trip from our licensed drone operator, Domenic!

We saw cow/calf pairs of Gray Whales on Saturday, Common Dolphins throughout the weekend, and rare Risso's Dolphins on Sunday.

Gray whales are on the northward half of their migration now. While some will summer off the coast of Oregon, the majority are making their way back to their feeding grounds in the Bering and Chukchi Seas.

We have over 400,000 common dolphins off our coast. It only takes 1 to make a grown adult passenger squeal like a kid again. #WhyWeDoWhatWeDo #Dolphin #CaptDaves #ConnectWithNature

Happy Friday! 😁
A baby gray whale spy-hops in this #FBF photo from our trip taken 2 years ago today. It's a great reminder that gray whales can still be seen migrating at the end of April!

Silly fish thinks he can escape these hungry dolphins. There is just one tiny problem with this plan... what goes up, must come down!

We are so fortunate to see whales year-round off of Dana Point. Gray whales, who are still migrating, often like to hug the coastline. Please remember - if you see a blow, go slow! #BeWhaleWise 🐳
