Dog Guard of South Florida Davie Review
5 Star Review

Bruce and Robin did a fantastic job installing our new dog fence. They helped me decide where the wire should go. Installation was quick and training was simple with their help. I highly recommend Dog Guard of South Florida if you are looking to keep your pet safe!

It is important to understand and be ready for the different developmental stages our puppy will go through during his first year. If we are ready, we can make sure that we will always keep him safe and healthy. He will look upon us as his care givers and parents. There seem to be more and more stray dogs in our neighborhoods and on the city streets now. Some of them may only be doggies that just got out the back yard. Some of them may be dogs that people actually put out on the streets. Some of them may just be "street dogs". Whatever the case, it is important to understand what we need to do if they approach us. We need to behave in a way that keeps both us, the people around us, and the dog safe. Please check out our article to learn more.

Your dog is a social animal and, through your leadership and direction, has come to understand that your home is his safe place and everything inside that place is safe and secure. When you have workmen come into your home, that could cause your dog issues regarding the area's safety and your leadership.

You need to shoe the appropriate leadership and dominance when allowing strangers such as workmen to come into your home and perform extended activities. You need to direct your dog to a place of safety from both a physical standpoint and leadership role. Please check out our dog training article to learn more.

When we talk to our dogs, we normally use words. We think and act on those words as we have naturally been taught, as humans. Our dogs hear what is coming out of our mouths not as words, but as sounds. The problem that we now run into is that words and sounds can elicit different types of responses. We need to understand the difference and understand that we are talking"sounds" to our dog when we want them to do something. Please check out our article to learn all about this important fact.

Getting your dog to come to you in the back yard is great because you are often in a hurry and don't have the time to mess around when he doesn't listen. All you need to do is to teach him the come command. This takes about three to four weeks to get down perfectly. So, what happens during that period you are training your dog? You still need to get him in the house. We have a great tip that will always get your dog in the house from the back yard even though he may not have totally mastered the come command. Please take a look and your life will be made far less complicated.

Just like our kids, we need to keep our dogs occupied and not bored or they may find things that we don't want them to do. It is not their fault because they simply are trying to find activities that will keep them from being bored. It is our responsibility to find the appropriate activities. Even though we may not be there, we can still make sure our dog is not bored and has something to do. Please read our dog training article to learn more.

It is always annoying when guests come over to your house and your dog just jumps all over them. Some people may love it when dogs jump on them while other people may be afraid of dogs and it could really scare or even hurt them. If you don't have consistent and clear rules about jumping, your dog doesn't know what to do and how to behave.

We have a great article that will help you set up consistent and clear rules and to have your dog no longer jump on your guests. Please take a look at our dog training article today.
