Food can work for you or against you. If my dogs gets bossy or demanding, and I respond to that with more food or better food, if I give him what he wants when he acts like that what am I teaching my dog? What are we trading? What does my dog want? What do I want? How do I use that to my advantage so we both win? That applies to real life rewards and consequences -any reinforcement. Your goal is to be able to use less food for more of the actions you want to see until working with you becomes something your dog loves. Some dogs (and people) are more sensitive to "following the rules." Important information.
