SUPER BOWL SUNDAY IS HERE! We know everyone is either choosing the #Broncos or the #Panthers, but the real decision is: Haus Dog or Haus Burger?

Dog Haus offers creative hot dogs, sausages, and burgers in a wide number of delicious varieties. I always get their tots along with the burgers. This particular biergarten location has a full bar and cheap eats and drinks during their happy hour. Their patio seating is preferred for their wide spaces and shaded seating. Live music performances take place here on select days. They just started to offer Fosselman's ice cream soft-serve style. Can't forget to mention that they use King Hawaiian bread as their buns. Great fast-casual food at very reasonable prices.

Hot dogs and sausages! they are a gourmet version of your typical dog! Choose any topping you want, make it your own. They also have killer sweet potato fries and a great beer selection. If you are just walking around town with your real dog, you can also stop by as they are pet friendly!

Inexpensive and mind blowing food in a great atmosphere with free WiFi at insane speeds. Try the Motley Bleu 2.0 burger (my favorite) or the Pig and Fig sausage dog! Excellent fries too!

I had the Grand Slam. It's a breakfast hotdog. Seriously, it had an egg, tater tots, bacon. And a good selection on tap. Pretty nice happy hour

This used to be my favorite place for Mexican Snow and similar hand-crafted cocktails by the mixologists of .08. The bleu cheese rib-eye at next door Red, White + Bluezz was a favorite amongst the regulars. .08 has since been closed, and the attached restaurant is now at the Pasadena Playhouse, where the live music does not have the same dark, smoky character. However, half of this story has a happy ending, with .08 being replaced with Dog Haus. This gourmet-style hotdog and hamburger biergarten serves up some excellent twists on the all-American favorites. On this night, I had enough room in my tummy for seconds, and had two of their most popular sausage dogs (Das Brat and Bad Mutha Clucka), washed down with red wine and the Nitro Milk Stout (pictures on my website). Ordering is straightforward as you are greeted with a huge, above the eye-level menu, before deciding what you want and orderingwith one of the two lovely ladies. The outside seating is the place to dine if you want the German pub feel, however, the bar allows you to mingle with regulars or chat with the knowledgeable bartenders. The variety of the menu makes this a repeat experience. Wurstkuche is the place for exotic meats like snake and rabbit, but Dog Haus does plain ‘ol beef links just right. Not all franchisees are created equal, so check out this one on Green Street in Pasadena as the people and ambience will make for a different outing.
