Here's my recent guide on closures for custom JS variables in Google Tag Manager.

Take this one to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without needing to create additional tags. For instance, sending hits to other analytics services with GA tags, creating cookies and/or browser storage items using hitCallback field, dealing with event parameters through custom functions’ arguments.

Hello everyone!

cc'ed +Scott Herman +Brian Kuhn

I'm experiencing a strange issue with GTM (see screenshot attached). Seems like because of the below function the page is forced to reload on a link click even though it should only re-render. The site is built using ReactJS (pages do not reload, but re-render).

No custom JS tag implemented from my side (container publisher).

Any ideas? Thanks!

Here's a nice set of tips wrote by my college Vladimir Myuge! Following these ones you can easily start using ClickHouse of Yandex

Suppose I have a SQL-query for a certain table in my Bigquery dataset. The result of this query is a table that looks like this:

01.01.1970 | 1
02.01.1970 | 2
03.01.1970 | 3

I'd like to create a time series graph showing dates on y-axis and number of, say, events (1,2,3) on x-axis using this query.

How do I do that?

Thanks!

Yet again, although this post concerns Bigquery and Googls Sheets, I thought it could be useful for those having GA data stored in #googlebigquery.

The solution is nothing more than a modified version of the original code (changed according to my needs) demonstrating how you can use Bigquery API. What I want to share is how you can inject dynamic parameters into your SQL query which allow you to automate the upload process.

For instance, you can automatically export tables containing data for the past week every Monday without needing to tweak dates in the body of your SQL-query.

#bigqueryapi #driveapi #appsscript

Perhaps, it would be more convenient to access the variable menu (see pic) right from the list of variables. Thus I could add a note or delete a variable without needing to click on its title ("open" it if you prefer).

You can't send pure PII to Google Analytics, but you can encrypt it and send it elsewhere enriched with GA insights.

Here's my latest guide on how to use CryptoJS library together with GTM.
