Heating bills tend to peak around this time of year. Have you ever considered investing in a space heater? A space heater can heat a single room, saving you the cost of heating your entire house. You could save three percent on heating costs for each degree you allow your thermostat to fall!

Wood-burning fireplaces look beautiful, and can warm up the room, but they also rob your house of heat by letting it escape through the chimney! We advise installing airtight doors that will block this heat from escaping your house and running up your electric bill!

Is your house drafty? Are you experiencing air leaks or poor insulation? We’d recommend that you invest in a thermal leak detector or infrared thermometer. These tools are battery-operated and identify spots inside that are warmer or colder than the surrounding area. Insulating leaks can save you money on your electric bill!

Decorating your house this holiday season? Going over the top is a lot of fun, but don’t be surprised if you get a high electricity bill! We recommend using LED lights that can use up to 90 percent less electricity than their incandescent counterparts.

Put on a sweater! For every degree you lower your thermostat, you save about two percent off on your heating bill. Do you have someone in your household who always cranks up the heat?

I have been with discount power for about a year now and I really have no complaints. I shopped around and they were the cheapest by far so knowing I'd be charged if I wanted a paper bill or if I didn't agree with auto draft I signed up and immediately noticed the savings based on the previous company I had. The only complaint I have is when I moved and needed to switch it to the new place I was informed it could only be done via email. You can not speak to a real person with this company, everything is done via email or the web.

I have the best rates ever! I pay way less for the same power usage than with my last company! I hope to be able to get the same deal when my contract expires.

I can't express how dissatisfied I am with this company. I held an average monthly rate for the past 11 months then when it came to my last bill it nearly tripled in the amount. When I called to inquire about the high rate a very rude male representative informed me that it was due to the hot weather in Texas. I live in Dallas and it almost rained for the half of the month prior, which made no sense to me at all. I was also denied my deposit due to a late payment caused by their miscommunication with another representative who reassured me the last payment would be deducted from the deposit and any remaining balance would be refunded back on my card which was $300. Again Beware of this company!

Been with them for a few months already. I have signed up for auto pay and when I initially asked to move up my installation date there was no problem. I pay my bills through auto pay and have not had a problem with customer service. I pay average 8.5 cents per KW. Cheapest I've seen. I just wish they would provide estimate usage emails like other electricity providers so I have an idea how much my bill will be. They will charge you $15 if you're not on auto pay, too.

Great rates lowest rates i have seen but could improve on customer billing but otherwise they have great rates. Its true read your contract before signing up and read the electricity facts label it will tell you what you will be paying based on your usage. Also on your bill there is in small print says the average price you payed that will tell you your rate and it should be what you agree to not any more as mine is. Just like you have a agreement to go by so to the electric company's and this one i have seen they have over billed a few times but resolve the problem after talking to customer service. They could improve on communication too but otherwise pricing is what i like about them and is why am a customer. Also its true that some customer service agents could be more friendly towards the customers but i had some that are good some that are bad but i think those who are unfriendly need to improve in the service they provide be more welcoming and friendly to the customers.

Never have had any problems. Great rates compared to my friends and the autodraft is very convenient.

I love 'em: they're 100% wind power, and far, far less expensive than Green Mountain. What's not to love?
