I pre ordered my first generation Chromecast the moment heard about it, never needed to upgrade since this one does everything I need. One of the most valuable features: the big TV and the sound system are in the TV room, but we often listen to music on my old audiophile speakers in the living room. I can launch Pandora or Google Play music remotely from my phone and see track information, pause or mute, and change the music without leaving the couch. In addition to Netflix, Google Play movies, and the android PBS app, the remote music control is something I use every day.
