I am very pleased with the purchase of dino lingo in Latin. I purchased this in hopes of my 2 year old learning some Latin now so it will be easier for her when she is older. She thoroughly enjoys watching it. She loves the dinosaurs and the songs. She likes to dance along to the music. It keeps her engaged. I would definitely recommend this program to others with young children.

I just ordered this product because my son wants to learn Russian and is particularly interested in learning the alphabet, too so that he can learn to read in Russian. Other children's programs do not show the Russian alphabet on the DVDs, but instead only spell the words using English letters. We chose this program because it also teaches users the Russian letters.

I just purchased this program to bring on a mission trip to Honduras this summer, to teach ESL to children at a public school there. I have been very impressed with the Duo Lingo app for adults as I am learning Spanish, and found this program while researching if there was something similar for the children I will be working with. I watched a preview online before purchasing and was very impressed.

My daughter really enjoys learning Mandarin by playing with the flashcards with me. She can write some basic characters now and her brother is also interested in it by watching us play! Great product!

After receiving and watching through the first few DVD Cantonese sessions, I was very happy with the material and felt it would greatly benefit my child's ability to learn. The flashcards were also very helpful for me as they show the english pronunciation of the word to help me sound it out to her (as I don't read but speak Cantonese).

Discovered your wonderful supply of educational products for young children to learn a new language in a Google search. Although it is no longer taught in most public schools, the basics of Latin (and some Greek) remains foundational for young minds to parse medical, legal and other professional English words. The flashcards for toddlers to learn some Latin is perfect! I called to clarify my order. Your agent was friendly, courteous and most helpful. Thank you for the excellent customer service, and I will probably have future orders for my grandson's linguistic development in the future.

I just recently bought the online subscription for Thai. Wow, this is amazing! Such creativity and very gifted people to put this together. Its engaging and entertaining. I would recommend for all ages as I am in my late 30's and bought it for myself as I was looking for something visual other than memorizing sentences and phrases. I like how they have animation, and real pictures together. It helps me to learn and because its so engaging and entertaining, it helps me to remember even more! I love the memory games and other games included. I have watched the first 2 videos already a few times and it only gets better! I would highly recommend this for all ages, and for families to watch it all together. Even though its created for children, its an excellent product for everyone no matter what age you are. Thanks for all your effort and creating a wonderful product! I look forward to continue learning!

I was so happy to see this set in European Portuguese, I'm glad they post a small segment so you can see if it is actually European and not Brazilian Portuguese which is different for a small child to understand the difference. My nephew can count to ten and knows most colors in Portuguese, so when I saw this, thought it would be perfect to introduce to him in segments. Throughout his early learning years. Muito Obrigado Dino Lingo!

The children enjoy watching German. During the day the children ask for the food to be passed in German and our two year consistently replies to people in German. The program is very easy to use and great for young people.

We got this video set for our daughters and myself to learn Urdu. I wasn't sure they would enjoy it but it turns out we all enjoy watching the videos and using the workbooks. We haven't managed to get though all the activities so far, but as a former teacher, I really appreciate how Dino manages to keep the kids' attention while at the same time entertaining and educating all of us. Well done!!

How to raise a bilingual child
http://dinolingo.com/how-to-teach-kids-a-second-language.html
The earlier the better.
If you are going to be a mother soon, remember that your child can recognize your voice before he or she is born. And before your child is 6 months old, he or she knows the difference between the main language and other languages.

Try OPOL.
OPOL means One Parent, One Language. If you are a French mother, then you speak French to your child. If your husband is Russian, then he speaks Russian. Each parent speaks his or her native language to the child.

How to raise a bilingual child
Try MLAH.
MLAH means Minority Language At Home. In this style, both parents speak the minority language in the house. If you are a Japanese mother with an American husband living in the USA, both of you speak Japanese at home. This method is especially good if your child does not have many chances to use the second language outside the house.

Be consistent.
For either OPOL or MLAH, both of you have to be consistent. When you start mixing languages or using these methods only on certain occasions, your child may not become bilingual. Or your child may become a passive bilingual where he or she understands the language but does not speak it.

Remember that every child is different.
Some studies show that girls start talking earlier than boys. Also, some boys are better at learning languages than girls. But children all around the world eventually reach their own level of language competence.

How to raise a bilingual child
Be aware of the critical period.
The peak of development of your child’s brain is at age 3. After age 5, it becomes difficult for your child to understand accents. And as a teenager, it is almost impossible for your child to have a natural language skill.

Motivate your child.
Give your child a reason to speak the second language. You can create opportunities by finding families who speak the language and plan playdates with them. You can hire a nanny or a babysitter who speaks the language. You can go to cultural centers. You can borrow DVDs, CDs and picture books from the library. You can travel to countries where the language is spoken. You have a lot of choices.

Motivate yourself.
If both of you, as the mother and father, teach your child your own language, you will bond with your child. You can give your child a chance to perform better in school and to be more creative. Your child will get more job offers. And your child will grow as a global-minded person.

My daughter loved this. She wanted to see more, and asked to see it everyday now. She loves to learn and this was fun for her. She laughed, giggled, and showed me things that she saw through the video. This is a great learning tool.

My son loves Dino Lingo. We got him the Polish set one month before going to Poland. I was impressed that there was a Polish version! It was easy for him to navigate & although we also got him another Polish audio program, Dino Lingo was definitely the his preferred choice. So needless to say, the subject matter & the animation definitely held his attention.

We HIGHLY recommend Dino Lingo & will ourselves get the Latin program next!
