Guy was dazzled by the immense selection at this old-school Italian deli, which turns out dozens of fresh items daily. One popular pick is the prosciutto bread, which comes stuffed with provolone cheese and a medley of Italian meats. “The depth of flavor in this is massive,” Guy declared. He also raved about the Boss of the Sauce, a meaty dish composed of beef braciole, pork braciole, sausages and meatballs served in a hearty homemade sauce that’s ladled over a mound of pasta.

Locals head to this former tire shop for a taste of seafood served Florida-style. Owner Nichelle Thurston lures in the crowds with delectable dishes made from her grandfather’s recipes. One bite of the full combo platter and Guy was hooked. This seafood-centric dish comes heaped with jumbo shrimps, a snow crab cluster, smoked sausages, an ear of corn and a Cajun boiled egg, all doused in a Cayenne-spiked sauce. Another hit is The Hulk: a housemade waffle topped with fried lobster and shrimp.

Matt Vicedomini turns out big flavors from inside his tiny food truck, where he’s smoking meats that made Guy’s mouth water. “Pull-apart tender,” Guy declared of the Texas-style spare ribs smothered in an onion-and-garlic-laced glaze. Another standout is the Whole Shabamwich, a hefty sandwich that’s stacked with pulled pork, sausages, brisket and a rib, along with coleslaw and pickles. “It’s dynamite, man,” Guy raved.

Don’t be fooled by this spot’s plain exterior. Step inside and you’ll find “a righteous tapas place,” as Guy describes it. In addition to standard Spanish tapas such as croquettes, you’ll find unexpected culinary gems on the menu. Guy raved about the fork-tender quail cooked in vinegar.

This tiny tapas joint doesn’t skimp on the flavor, as evidenced by the menu of small plates cooked up in the classic style of Galicia, Spain’s northwestern coastal region. Guy headed here to introduce pro football player Marcel Reece to a popular Galician-style dish: pulpo (aka octopus). Tender morsels of octopus are dusted with both sweet and smoky paprika, then slicked with a generous squirt of olive oil and paired with potatoes. “It’s like the most-tender lobster you’ll ever try,” Guy declared.

This cozy spot draws the crowds with its beauteous bocadillos (that’s Spanish for sandwiches). Served fresh off a searing-hot panini press, they come stuffed with regional meats. A standout is the Carn D’olla, which features a hefty baguette that’s heaped with caramelized onions and grilled pork sausages, then doused with a spicy housemade sauce.
