Looking forward to this
Drupal 8's various efforts to improve it's User Experience through the "outside-in" approach has a new home:

Something I can't seem to figure. How do I use Taxonomy terms as a pager in a slideshow. Essentially slides will be grouped by term. Filters are "destructive" so if I have three terms, A, B & C clicking A only shows me A. I can't go from A-B-C using the next arrow on the slides. So I don't need a "pager" for each slide just one for each group (same term) of slides. Any ideas on how to do this.

An obligation to imagine and to use that imagination to help others
What a great read!  @neilhimself explains why our future depends on libraries, reading and daydreaming. I love the bit about China! And I am horrified by the bit about prisons.

Priorities people
I find it distressing that US politicians (and the rest of world governments) can find hundreds of billions of dollars to make war, but only a pittance to build hospitals and other basic infrastructure, such that doctors have to flee for their lives when they are needed most.

I have some webforms that have required fields, however even though they indicate the error state (red border etc) if the field is left empty they don't show any error message e.g "the name field is required". Possibly related is that i setup clientside validation, using module of that name, but no love. Any ideas. I don't see any js errors that may have affected that etc.
particular form of interest. www.dom.edu/welcome-weekend
