#DigiSmartTip - #LinkedIn -LinkedIn just announced the launch of a new monthly notification that will showcase relevant trending skills by fellow users with identical job titles. They are doing this to promote their Lynda.com courses. Users clicking on skills in those notifications will be connected to LinkedIn Learning courses to help them boost their expertise in those areas. They will also receive information on the companies hiring for that skill. Remember the crazy endorsement function? Now we see another use for it. Be on the lookout for it.

#DigiSmartTip - #InfluencerMarketing - “Influencer marketing”, which refers to the practice of paying individuals with large social media followings to create content and post about a product or service, is the hottest trend in social media marketing. In fact, 84% of all marketers planned to allocate budget dollars to pay social media influencers in 2017. However, brands of all sizes are realizing that “micro-influencers”, or social media influencers with 1,000-5,000 followers in a niche market, may offer better engagement, visibility and conversion results than the big shots. Businesses with limited marketing budgets should research, identify and nurture relationships with key micro-influencers in their industry and region. Remember, follower numbers can be deceptive.
