Opera recently updated their popular Opera Mini web browser for Android to version 8 (from earlier version 7.6). It’s a major update as Opera has overhauled the app completely with fresh new design and features. Even the icon of newly installed Opera Mini 8 app has a tiny “New” word in it.

We have already discussed InFocus M2 in an older post as “the best value-for-money entry-level/mid-range Android phone”. It impressed us a lot with its solid build, quality and features at an unbelievably low price (Rs.4999/$80 at Snapdeal). LG G4 will have to prove itself against the likes of Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 Edge, HTC One M9/M9+ and Sony Xperia Z4/Z3+

Visually it is definitely a significant update, as Samsung has re-designed the app icon, UI and UI elements. New UI looks flat and less colorful (“white” replaces “green” as the background/general theme color) with all functions arranged at a single scrollable home page. In older versions the functions were arranged in two (left vertical and bottom horizontal) sections. So the new S Health is not as visually appealing as the previous version but it is certainly a bit more user friendly. However old users will have hard time getting used to the new interface.

The trio of Lenovo A6000, Xiaomi Redmi2 and Moto E 2nd Gen. are perfect examples of this new “great features at an affordable price” breed of phones. All the three have comparable specs and cost exactly the same in India (Rs.7000/US$ 115), thus it is difficult to choose any one.
