Personally I think Calibri and its clones are ugly.
But my biggest complaint is "The font contains a homoglyph – the lowercase letter L and the uppercase letter i (l and I) of the Latin script are practically indistinguishable." - Wikipedia.
And again from Wikipedia: "Typefaces containing homoglyphs are considered unsuitable for writing formulas, URLs, source code, IDs and other text where characters cannot always be differentiated from the context."

D800 10 port connector issue (please re-share, see below)

Below is my D800. It's 1.5 years old, out of warranty, and when I wanted to plug in the remote a couple of days ago, the connector came lose and is useless now.

If you're a D800 user, please check your 10-pin port. Gently pinch it with your little finger (if you dare, and at your own risk, of course). If it moves or wiggles, it will break sooner or later, and look just like mine, in the photo below. (it doesn't wiggle or move on my 4 year old D700 at all, by the way).

What's more: typing just "D800 10" into a Google search box brings up an auto-complete suggestion for "D800 10 pin issue" and searching for that reveals over 100,000 search hits to photo forums and sites where users describe that their connector broke. Sometimes within only days of having the camera, or even when plugging in a remote for the very first time.

From my point of view, this looks like rather overwhelming evidence that there is a manufacturing issue with this camera.

But despite all this, Nikon is unwilling to make a commitment and tell me whether they will fix it for free, and insist that I send it in for an evaluation.

I'm not going to pay to get a manufacturing defect repaired. It's just not my fault. I didn't break this. And I'm not willing to pay for shipping if the possible outcome is that Nikon won't repair it for free. Sending the camera with insurance to Nikon CA is ~$40. A local repair shop told me that I'd be looking at repair costs of ~$400 because the camera needs to be disassembled quite a bit (it involves replacing the rubber grips because some of the screws are under the rubbers). I broke stuff in the past, and I paid for the repairs. I'm not stingy, but I don't have money to waste either. Not for something like this.

If you're a D800 user and your 10-pin port broke too, please let me know about it in the comments. Thanks.

Either way, you can help me and other D800 users. Please re-share this post so that others can check their port, preferably while their camera is still within warranty, to safe them the trouble I'm having now. Thank you.
